In short

Liftup Technologies builds AI agents for Belgian businesses, working remotely from India. An agent takes a goal, uses connected tools such as your CRM, inbox or order system, and completes steps with human approval where the risk is high. We build on OpenAI and Anthropic models, n8n or custom code, handle Dutch, French and English, log every action, and plan for GDPR and the EU AI Act. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

What an agent does that a chatbot does not

A chatbot answers questions. An agent acts. It can read an incoming supplier email, look up the order in your system, draft a reply, create a task and ask a person to approve the refund. The difference is tools and a loop: the model decides the next step, calls a tool, reads the result and continues until the job is done or it needs help. That makes agents useful for work with several steps, and it also makes them riskier, because they can change data. Our comparison of AI agents and chatbots explains when each is the right choice.

Agent jobs that suit Belgian companies

JobWhat the agent doesWhere a person stays involved
Inbox triageSorts Dutch, French and English emails, tags them and drafts repliesApproves replies on contracts, complaints and legal topics
Order and stock follow-upChecks orders against stock and carrier status and flags delaysApproves refunds or supplier changes
Lead qualificationReads form answers, enriches the lead and books a callReviews high-value leads before outreach
Document intakeExtracts fields from invoices or forms into your systemChecks low-confidence fields and exceptions
Research and reportingGathers data from approved sources and writes a summaryVerifies figures before they go to a client

We usually start with one narrow job with clear success measures, then widen the scope once the logs show it is reliable.

Languages and tone

Belgian work is multilingual in practice. One customer writes in Dutch, the next in French, and a Brussels contact mixes English in. Modern models handle all three well, but quality still needs testing on your real messages: formal and informal address, industry terms and regional vocabulary. We build a test set from your own examples, score replies with your staff, and set rules for tone. The agent replies in the language of the sender unless you decide otherwise. For a Brussels team, English-language contracts and French correspondence often sit in the same inbox, so we test mixed threads as well as single-language ones.

Safety, data and the EU rules

  • Least access. The agent gets only the tools and records it needs, with read-only access wherever possible.
  • Approvals. Anything that sends money, deletes data or contacts a customer about a sensitive topic waits for a person.
  • Logs. Every tool call, input and output is recorded, so you can see why the agent did something and fix it.
  • Data handling. We document which personal data goes to which model provider and use providers' EU data options where they are offered. The Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) enforces GDPR.
  • AI Act. The EU AI Act sets duties by risk level, including transparency when people talk to an AI system. Most business agents are lower risk, but tasks such as hiring or credit decisions can be high risk. Check your use case with a lawyer.

Our AI agent security checklist covers prompt injection, permissions and testing in more detail.

How we build and hand over

  1. Pick one jobWe map the steps, the systems touched and the cost of a mistake.
  2. Build a prototypeA working agent on sample data with logs you can read.
  3. Test with real casesYour staff score outputs in each language and we fix failures.
  4. Pilot with approvalsThe agent runs live, but a person approves every action at first.
  5. Loosen carefullyApprovals are relaxed only for steps that have proven reliable.

We work remotely. Belgium is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours behind in winter, so pilot reviews happen in your morning. One lead owns the project, and accounts, prompts and code are in your name.

Pricing and next steps

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. A narrow agent costs less than one connected to many systems. Model usage is billed by the provider directly to you and depends on volume. See our AI agent cost guide and the AI agent service page. For simpler flows, AI automation in Belgium may be enough, and for customer-facing questions see AI chatbots in Belgium. A Belgian VAT-registered buyer normally reverse-charges VAT at 21% on our services; confirm with your accountant.

Questions, answered

Is an agent safe to connect to our systems?
It can be, with limited permissions, approvals on risky steps and full logs. We start in read-only mode and widen access step by step.
Which AI models do you use?
We use OpenAI and Anthropic models through their APIs, chosen per task for quality, cost and data terms.
Does the agent work in Dutch and French?
Yes. We test on your own messages in each language before launch and keep a score sheet for changes.
Will the agent make mistakes?
Sometimes. That is why we start with approvals, measure error rates and keep a person in the loop for costly actions.
Do we need to tell customers they are talking to an AI?
Transparency rules under the EU AI Act can require it in some cases. Ask your lawyer, and we will add the notice to the interface.
