In short

Liftup Technologies builds AI agents for French businesses, working remotely from India. An agent plans a task, calls your tools, such as a CRM, mailbox or database, and returns a result for approval. We design French-language behavior, permissions, logging and tests, and we plan around GDPR and the EU AI Act. Projects start at $1,500, with a fixed quote within one working day.

What an agent does that a chatbot does not

A chatbot answers questions. An agent takes steps. It might read a supplier email, find the matching order in your system, draft a reply in French and wait for a person to approve it. It might qualify an inbound lead, check the calendar and propose a meeting time. The difference is that the agent uses tools and makes decisions along the way.

That power needs limits. We start with one narrow job, list the tools the agent may use, and decide which actions need a human click. See our AI agent vs chatbot comparison and the AI agent development service page. If you only need Q&A on your own content, a chatbot is simpler and cheaper.

Agents also fail in ways chatbots do not. They can loop, call the wrong tool or act on a misread instruction. We reduce this with short task definitions, strict tool permissions, step limits and a test set that includes awkward cases. When something fails, the log shows which step went wrong, so the fix is specific.

Jobs that suit an agent

JobTools the agent usesHuman step
Inbound lead triageForm data, CRM, calendarApprove first reply or booking
Supplier or customer email draftsMailbox, order systemApprove before sending
Document checkingFile storage, rules listReview flagged items

We avoid jobs where one wrong action is costly and cannot be undone, unless an approval step guards it.

GDPR, the AI Act and the CNIL

An agent touches personal data when it reads emails, CRM records or HR files. The CNIL has published guidance on AI and personal data, and we use it when designing the data flow. The EU AI Act also introduces duties that depend on the risk level of the use, and some obligations phase in over several years. Most office-automation agents sit at the lower end, but confirm your case with your lawyer.

  • Send the model only the data the task needs, and keep the rest out of the prompt.
  • Check the model provider's data terms, including whether inputs are used for training and where they are processed.
  • Log every tool call and result, so you can explain what happened.
  • Tell people when they are interacting with an AI system, in clear French.
  • Give staff a simple way to correct or stop the agent.

Our AI agent security checklist is the starting point for these controls.

Cost control belongs here too. French staff reading drafts need those drafts to be short and sourced, so we have the agent cite the record or document it used. A reviewer then checks the source in seconds instead of redoing the work.

French language behavior

The agent should write and read French naturally: correct accents, the right register for the reader, and euro and date formats. We test with real examples from your business, including abbreviations, regional spellings and the sort of messy email people actually send. We also set the agent to say when it is unsure, instead of guessing, and to pass the case to a person.

How a build runs

  1. ScopeOne job, the tools involved, what counts as success, and what the agent must never do.
  2. PrototypeA working version on sample data, reviewed by the person who does the job today.
  3. TestA set of real cases scored against agreed criteria, using the approach in our LLM evaluation checklist.
  4. PilotLive with approvals switched on, and a log you can read.
  5. HandoverCode, prompts, accounts and a short runbook in your name.

France is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India, so we hold reviews in your morning and fix issues overnight.

Pricing guidance

Projects start at $1,500 with a rate of $30 an hour. A single-job agent with one or two integrations sits near the start. More tools, more approval paths, voice or heavy testing raise the price. Model usage is billed to you directly by the provider, and we estimate it in the quote. The AI agent cost guide shows the factors. We do not promise that an agent will replace a role. We aim to remove a measurable chunk of repetitive work.

Questions, answered

Can the agent send emails by itself?
It can, but we recommend approval for the first weeks. You can relax the rule once the results are reliable.
Which model do you use?
We choose per job, based on quality, cost and your data terms. We explain the choice in the quote.
Does the EU AI Act apply to us?
It may, depending on how the system is used. Confirm your case with your lawyer. We design with logs and transparency in mind.
Can the agent run on our own servers?
Sometimes, with open models. Quality and cost differ, so we compare options first.
Who owns the agent?
You do. We hand over code, prompts, test cases and accounts.
