SaaS SEO in New Zealand
SaaS SEO for New Zealand software companies
Kiwi software firms usually sell overseas from day one, because home volumes are small. Our SEO work builds pages that win the searches of buyers in the US, UK and Australia as well as New Zealand.

In short
Liftup Technologies provides SaaS SEO for New Zealand software companies, working remotely from India. We map product, use-case and comparison pages to the markets you sell in, set up region structure with hreflang, fix technical issues and report from your Search Console. Calls fall in your afternoon. You get a fixed quote after a short call.
A small home market changes SaaS SEO
With about five million people at home, a New Zealand SaaS company rarely finds enough demand locally. Most Kiwi software brands, from accounting tools to agritech platforms, sell to buyers in Australia, North America and Europe. The SEO plan has to be written for those buyers, not for Google New Zealand alone.
That raises a practical question: which version of the site does a US prospect see? If your pages use New Zealand spelling and prices in NZ dollars, a US buyer may think the product is not for them. We decide early whether to run one global English site with tidy currency detection or separate regional sections, and we back the choice with search data.
Page types a SaaS site needs
| Page type | Search it captures | Notes for a Kiwi vendor |
|---|---|---|
| Product and feature pages | What the software does | Describe outcomes in the words buyers in each region use |
| Use-case and industry pages | Software for a role or sector | Pick sectors where you have real depth, not every possible industry |
| Comparison and alternative pages | Brand A vs brand B | Be fair and factual. Our competitor page approach shows the format |
| Integration pages | Tool X integration | Accounting, CRM and payment integrations buyers already use |
| Pricing page | Pricing and plans | Show currencies for each region and say whether GST or sales tax is included |
| Docs and help center | Setup and how-to queries | Often the largest source of long-tail traffic |
Our SaaS SEO service page and the SaaS SEO checklist cover the whole scope.
Region structure and hreflang
If you sell into several countries, language tags tell Google which page suits which visitor. A common setup is a main .com in en-US, with en-NZ, en-AU and en-GB variants only where content really differs, such as pricing, legal terms and local case material. Pages that are identical across regions should not be duplicated. Our hreflang generator helps with the tags, and international SEO covers the wider architecture.
A .nz or .co.nz domain is the clearest signal for the Kiwi market, but a global brand often does better on one .com. We weigh the options with you before any migration.

Business buyers check privacy and security before they sign. A good trust section covers where data is stored, who can access it and how breaches are handled. In New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 sets the baseline, including information privacy principle 12 on disclosure outside the country and a duty to report notifiable breaches. If you serve European or UK customers, other laws apply too, so a lawyer should review your public claims.
Marketing claims also matter. The Fair Trading Act 1986 prohibits misleading conduct, which includes feature lists, comparison tables and customer logos. Only show logos and quotes you have permission to use. Sales emails to business contacts come under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, so outreach needs clear sender details and an unsubscribe.
On tax, software sold to customers overseas may be treated differently from sales at home. Ask your accountant how GST applies to your invoices, and show pricing consistently on the pricing page.
How we work
- Audit and market choiceA technical crawl plus a look at which countries bring signups today.
- Keyword and page mapSearches mapped to one page each, with gaps and overlap marked.
- Fix and publishTechnical fixes first, then new product, comparison and help pages.
- ReportMonthly notes from Search Console and your analytics, focused on trials and signups.
New Zealand is 6.5 or 7.5 hours ahead of India, so your afternoon is our morning. We work remotely and have no office in New Zealand.
Pricing
Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. The price moves with site size, the number of regions, content volume and whether a migration is involved. The SEO cost guide shows how scope turns into hours.
Smaller teams often ask what to do first. Our usual order is to fix crawl and indexing problems, tidy the product and pricing pages, then build the comparison and integration pages that buyers search just before they choose. Help articles and docs come next, since they feed long-tail searches and reduce support load at the same time.
