Website design for startups
Website design for startups that move at startup speed
A startup site has to be live quickly, believable to a stranger and cheap to change. We build a small, sharp site first and add pages as you learn what customers ask.

In short
Liftup Technologies builds startup websites in stages. Stage one is a launch site of a few pages that states the problem, shows the product and captures a waitlist, trial or demo request. Stage two adds pricing, use cases and proof as you earn it. We use Webflow, Framer-style editors or Next.js depending on who edits it. Projects start at $1,500 with a fixed quote.
Who sees a startup site
Three groups look at a young company's site, and each one is quick to judge. Customers want to know what it does and whether it is for them. Investors and advisers look for a coherent story and a product that exists. Candidates look for signs of direction before they accept an offer.
A bare page with a logo does not satisfy any of them. Neither does a twenty-page site full of promises you cannot yet support. The right middle is a handful of strong pages, written plainly, that match where the company really is.
Speed also counts here. A founder pitching on a call often pulls up the site live, so it should load in a second and read well on a laptop screen share.
Build in stages, not all at once
| Stage | Pages | Goal | Typical trigger for the next stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-launch | One page with story, product preview and waitlist form | Collect emails and test the message | You have a working product to show |
| Launch | Home, product, pricing or request-demo, about, contact | First paying or trial users | Users ask the same questions repeatedly |
| Early growth | Use cases, integrations, FAQ, blog or changelog | Capture search and answer objections | You have a repeatable buyer and a few real stories |
| Scale | Comparison pages, security page, resources, localized pages | Support sales and reduce sales-call load | Sales team asks for specific assets |
We design each stage to fit inside the next one. Colors, components and page templates carry over, so you do not pay for a rebuild at every funding round.
Message before design
Founders know their product too well to describe it simply. Before any visual work, we help you write three lines: who it is for, what pain it removes and why it works now. We test the lines on a few people outside the team. If a stranger cannot repeat them back, the headline needs work.
Honest claims matter more for a young company. We do not invent customer logos, user counts or press mentions. If you have none yet, we use what is real: the founders' background, a product demo and early feedback quotes you have permission to publish.
One more habit saves trouble later. Keep a short list of claims you will not make, such as user counts you cannot prove or logos you have no permission to show, and review the site against it before each launch.

A non-technical founder editing copy at midnight needs a visual editor. A technical team may prefer the marketing site to live in the same repository as the product. We choose with you. See our Webflow development and MVP development pages, and our landing page cost guide for a lighter first step.
Whichever platform we pick, we set up analytics, a simple CRM hand-off and a speed check at launch, so the first hundred visitors give you data, not just pageviews.
How the project runs
- Founder callWe learn the product, the buyer, the runway and the date you need to be live.
- Message and page mapWe write the core copy lines and agree the pages for stage one.
- Design sprintHome and one key page are designed first, then reviewed in one consolidated round.
- Build and connectForms, email capture, analytics, a custom domain and a simple status for each lead.
- Launch and learnWe check the first week of data with you and list the next three improvements.
Our team is based in Pune, with offices in Coventry and New York, so we can overlap with US and European founders for weekly demos.
What it costs
Our projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour, which suits a startup budget. A one-page waitlist site or a four-page launch site sits near the low end. A larger site with a custom design system, many integrations or interactive product demos takes longer. You get a fixed quote within one working day, so you can plan the runway. For the main process, see the website design service.
