AI agents for agencies
AI agents for marketing agencies: reporting, briefs and ad checks
Agencies sell judgment and creativity, but they spend their margin on reporting, briefs, status updates and checking whether a campaign is still running properly. We build agents for the margin-eating work and leave the creative to your team.

In short
A marketing agency AI agent pulls data from ad platforms, analytics and project tools to draft client reports, turns client emails into structured briefs, watches ad accounts for overspend or disapprovals, and checks content against a style guide before review. Liftup Technologies builds these agents inside your stack, with account leads approving anything a client sees. We are an agency too, so we build what we would want to run.
Where agency margin leaks
An agency of 15 people with 25 retainers has the same invisible tax each month. Someone exports numbers from Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and Search Console into a slide deck. Someone else rewrites a vague client email into a brief. A campaign overspends on a Sunday and nobody sees it until Monday. A draft goes to the client with the wrong spelling of their product name.
None of this is the work clients value. All of it is necessary. Agents suit it because it is rule-bound, data-heavy and repeated every week.
The agency back office, mapped
| Workflow | Inputs | Agent output | Reviewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly client report | Ad platforms, GA4, Search Console, CRM | Draft narrative with the numbers, what changed and the likely reason, plus next steps | Account lead |
| Brief intake | Client emails, call notes, past briefs | Structured brief with goals, audience, deliverables, deadline and open questions | Strategist |
| Ad account watch | Spend, disapprovals, conversion tracking status | Alert when spend, CPA or tracking breaks a threshold, with a plain-English cause guess | Media buyer |
| Content QA | Draft copy, brand guide, client glossary | Checklist: names, claims, banned words, links, length | Editor |
| Timesheets and scope | Calendar, tickets, contract hours | Draft entries and a warning when a retainer nears its cap | Project manager |
| New business | RFP, prospect site | A first-pass audit summary and proposal outline | Founder |
The ad account watch is the one agencies tend to value most after a bad weekend. It does not change bids on its own unless you set tight rules. It tells the buyer fast.
Reports clients will actually read
Reporting agents fail when they dump numbers. Ours is built around two questions: what changed since last month, and what do we do next. It compares periods, highlights the three largest movements, checks them against known events such as a site change or a budget shift in your project notes, and writes in the tone you use with that client. The account lead edits the narrative and sends it.
We test the agent on six past reports where you already know the story. If it misses the real cause, we change the inputs, such as adding annotations, before going live. Agencies working in SEO can also use our AI visibility checker as an input for AI-search sections.

- Client data: agency access to ad accounts is delegated by the client. Check your contracts and the platform terms before connecting an agent, and use the platforms' official APIs only.
- Confidentiality: put client names, budgets and results through providers whose data terms you accept. Some clients forbid third-party AI tools in their agreement; check before use.
- Claims: ad copy drafts must follow platform policy and advertising law, such as the FTC endorsement guides in the US and the ASA code in the UK. The QA agent flags absolute claims and missing disclosures, and a person decides.
- Disclosure: some clients want to know where AI helps. We recommend a short line in your service description.
Rollout and price
We start with the report that costs your team the most hours. Ask the account lead to time one full cycle, from export to send, for three clients. Most agencies are surprised by the total, and that figure becomes the benchmark for the pilot. We also keep a list of every edit the reviewer makes, because repeated edits show where the instructions to the agent need to change. Two or three client reports run through the agent in a shadow month, with the team's normal reports as the benchmark. If the narrative needs heavy rewriting, we adjust before wider use.
Projects start at $1,500 at $30 an hour, with a fixed quote within one working day of a short call. The cost depends on the number of platforms and the number of report formats. Related reading: AI agent development, AI automation for rule-based flows that need no agent, and what an AI agent costs.
