In short

Liftup Technologies designs and builds websites, online shops, web apps and mobile apps for Italian businesses, working remotely from India with calls in your morning. Each build covers the Italian pieces: Italian copy, legal footer with Partita IVA, Garante-aligned consent, accessibility and local payments. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

What an Italian business website must get right

A site that serves Italian customers is judged on two things at once: whether it looks credible to a cautious buyer, and whether it respects the rules. Many Italian companies are family-run, and customers often check who is behind the site before they write or buy. That makes the company details part of the design, not an afterthought.

  • Company identification in the footer: name, registered office, Partita IVA and, for companies, registry details. Your commercialista confirms the list for your legal form.
  • Privacy policy and cookie policy in Italian, with a consent banner that follows the Garante cookie guidelines of 2021.
  • An accessibility statement and a build that targets WCAG 2.2 AA, because the European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many shops and services.
  • Clear contact routes, including a PEC address or SDI code where invoices need them.

If you are not sure which row fits, start from the business question. A company that mostly needs to be found should begin with the site and SEO together. A company that mostly sells should begin with the store. A company with repeated manual work should look at a web app or at automation. We say so plainly on the call, and we tell you when a simpler option is enough.

Italian buyers, language and layout

Italian text usually runs longer than English, so buttons, menus and cards are tested with real copy, not placeholders. Dates follow day, month, year, and prices use a comma for decimals and show IVA. Consumer prices are normally shown with IVA included, at 22% for most goods and services, with reduced rates for some categories. We check the rate with you or your accountant per product type instead of assuming one.

WhatsApp is the contact channel many Italian customers prefer for quick questions, so we add a click-to-chat button where it suits the business, and route it to a shared team inbox rather than one person's phone.

Photography carries a lot of weight. Italian buyers respond to real workshops, kitchens, studios and faces, so we leave room in layouts for your own pictures and plan a simple shot list before the build starts.

Payments and selling

For shops, the payment mix matters as much as design. Cards, PayPal and Apple Pay or Google Pay are the base. Satispay is a well-known Italian mobile payment option, and cash on delivery (contrassegno) still has a following in some categories. Which methods you offer depends on your platform and your payment provider, and we confirm current availability before quoting.

Distance sales to consumers in the EU carry the 14-day right of withdrawal and the statutory conformity rights (garanzia legale) under the Codice del consumo. Your terms, returns page and checkout wording should reflect both. Invoicing runs through the electronic invoice system (SdI), so checkout fields for codice fiscale, Partita IVA and codice destinatario or PEC are common.

How a project runs from India

  1. Short callWe agree scope, language versions and legal pages with you, in your morning.
  2. Fixed quoteWithin one working day of the call, with phases and what each includes.
  3. Design and buildA weekly demo on a staging link. One lead contact keeps feedback in one place.
  4. Launch and handoverRedirects, analytics and consent checks, then handover of code and accounts.

Italy is 4.5 hours behind India in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer, so a 10:00 call in Rome is 14:30 or 13:30 in Pune. No Italian office is needed on your side or ours.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call. Price moves with the number of templates, languages, integrations and products. Our website cost guide lists the factors, and the website brief template helps you prepare. Quotes are in US dollars.

Maintenance after launch is optional. See website maintenance for updates, backups and security checks.

Questions, answered

Can you build the site in Italian?
Yes. We build in Italian, with templates tested against real Italian copy. A native reader you nominate, or one we arrange, reviews the text before launch.
Do you handle the legal pages?
We build the pages, the footer and the consent banner and place your company details where they belong. The legal wording itself should come from your lawyer or a legal text service.
Do you need an Italian office or team?
No. Work is remote from India, with calls booked in your working hours and a written update each week.
Who owns the site and accounts?
You do. Domains, hosting, code, store and analytics accounts are registered in your name, and we are added as users.
Can you build for Italian and other languages?
Yes. We set up language versions with hreflang, for example it-IT with English or German for export buyers. See our web design and SEO pillar for Italy.
