In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for Italian companies, working remotely from India with calls booked in your morning. We audit what ranks and converts today, plan the new structure, build it on WordPress, Shopify or custom code, keep the content that earns traffic, map every old URL to a new one, and check accessibility and consent setup. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

Signs the site needs a redesign

Many Italian company sites were built a decade ago, often by a local studio, and have been patched since. Warning signs include pages that do not work on phones, a catalog that is only a PDF, an editor nobody dares to touch, plugins that are years out of date, and a design that no longer matches how the company presents itself at trade fairs.

A redesign is not always the answer. Sometimes a smaller refresh of the homepage, speed and forms does most of the work. We say so when that is the case. Our website redesign checklist helps you decide.

Protecting what already works

RiskWhy it happensHow we prevent it
Lost search trafficURLs change and old pages vanishFull URL inventory, one-to-one 301 redirects, Search Console checks after launch
Lost rankings for key pagesNew copy drops terms that earned trafficKeep or improve the content on pages that rank; rewrite the rest
Broken forms and trackingNew templates lose scriptsTest every form and event before launch
Hidden legal gapsFooter or policies removed during the redesignChecklist of required details and policy pages
Slower pagesHeavy new designPerformance budget and speed test on mobile

Before changing anything we export what the old site holds: pages, images, metadata, redirects and forms. Nothing is deleted from the old server until the new site has been live and checked.

We also ask what the new site must do better than the old one. For a manufacturer it may be more RFQ forms from abroad. For a clinic it may be fewer calls about opening hours. A redesign without a target tends to be judged on taste, so we agree two or three measurable aims before the first design is shown.

Italian requirements to carry over

  • Business identification. Italian company sites commonly show the legal name, registered office, Partita IVA and, for companies, registry details in the footer or a legal page. Confirm the exact wording with your accountant or lawyer.
  • Privacy and cookies. A privacy notice in Italian, and a consent banner that follows the Garante's 2021 cookie guidelines, with reject as easy as accept. Tags load only after consent where required.
  • Accessibility. The European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many online shops and services. A redesign is the cheapest moment to build to WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Consumer pages. For shops, terms of sale, the 14-day withdrawal information and prices with IVA shown.
  • Language. Italian copy written by a native speaker, with English or other versions on separate URLs and correct hreflang. See hreflang generator.

These are planning points, not legal advice. Your lawyer confirms the final text.

Content is the slowest part of most redesigns. We give you a simple sheet listing each page, who owns it and when text is due, and we start with pages that bring enquiries. Photos matter too: real images of your plant, team and products convert better than stock pictures, so we plan a short shoot or a list of images you can send.

How the project runs

  1. AuditTraffic, rankings, enquiries and technical state of the current site.
  2. Structure and content planNew page map, what stays, what is merged, what is new.
  3. DesignMobile-first designs for the main page types, approved before build.
  4. Build and migrateContent moved into the new system, forms and tracking connected.
  5. Pre-launch testsRedirects, speed, accessibility, consent behavior and a full link check.
  6. Launch and monitorSearch Console watched for weeks, with fixes for any dips.

Platform choice depends on your team. WordPress suits content-led sites, Shopify suits shops, and custom builds suit special needs. See WordPress development in Italy and website design in Italy for the details.

Working across the time difference

We work remotely from India. India is 4.5 hours ahead of Rome in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer. Calls are placed between 09:00 and 13:00 Rome time, with a weekly review link and one lead contact. Launch day is planned for a quiet time such as early morning, avoiding Monday peaks and holiday weeks.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. After a short call you get a fixed quote within one working day. Page count, languages, catalog size and content writing move the price. Hosting, plugins and stock photos are paid by you. See the website redesign cost guide and the service page on website redesign. Quotes are in US dollars.

Questions, answered

Will we lose Google rankings?
Short dips can happen. A redirect map, kept content and post-launch monitoring keep them small and brief, but nobody can promise zero change.
Can you keep our domain and email?
Yes. Your domain and mailboxes stay where they are. We only change what the website shows.
Do you write the Italian text?
We draft it and a native Italian reader on your side or ours checks tone and terms before launch.
Can you redesign in stages?
Yes. Many firms start with the homepage and key pages, then add the rest.
Who owns the new site?
You do. Hosting, domain and the CMS accounts are in your name.
