In short

Liftup Technologies designs websites for Italian businesses, working remotely from India with calls booked in your morning. A project covers structure, design, build, Italian copy fitting, a consent banner, legal footer and accessibility, on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Next.js. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call, and you own everything at handover.

Who this is for

Typical clients are a professional practice, a restaurant group, a workshop that ships worldwide, or a family manufacturer whose catalog still lives in PDFs. They often have a site that was built years ago by a relative or a local freelancer. It works, but it is slow on mobile, hard to edit, and does not say clearly what the company sells or where it operates. A new design fixes the message first and the visuals second.

Manufacturers selling abroad have a second job: the site must work for a buyer in Munich or Chicago who reads English or German. We plan the Italian version first and design the structure so other languages can be added without a rebuild. The Italy web pillar lists the wider range of services.

What the design covers

  • Page map. Home, services or products, about, contact, and one page per offer you want to be found for.
  • Italian copy fitting. Italian text is usually longer than English, so headings, buttons and navigation are tested with the real words.
  • Trust details. Company name, registered office and Partita IVA in the footer, a clear address, and contact routes that match how Italian customers reach out, including WhatsApp where it suits you.
  • Photography and proof. Space for your own photos of the workshop, team and finished work, since stock images undercut credibility.
  • Speed. Compressed images and lean templates, checked with our Core Web Vitals tool.

Forms deserve attention. Italian customers expect a short form, a visible privacy notice (informativa) next to the submit button, and a phone or WhatsApp alternative. We keep fields to what you need in order to reply, and send submissions to a shared mailbox so no lead depends on one person.

Italian requirements and how we handle them

We place the elements. The legal wording comes from your lawyer. Our GDPR website checklist lists what to prepare.

Content is part of the schedule. Photos, product or service descriptions and the Italian text for each page are usually the slowest items, so we agree a content list with owners and dates at the start. Where you prefer, we draft the copy in Italian from your notes and a native reader polishes it.

Platform choice

WordPress suits companies with several editors and plenty of text: see WordPress development in Italy. Webflow suits a design-led brochure site with a small team. Shopify fits a shop: see Shopify development in Italy. Next.js is for sites with unusual interaction or speed demands. We recommend one and explain the trade-off, using the guide on custom websites versus templates.

Whichever platform we choose, the site is built mobile first, because many Italian visitors reach company sites from a phone while commuting or between jobs.

How the project runs

  1. BriefA short call on goals, customers, languages and the pages you need.
  2. Fixed quoteSent within one working day, with a timeline split into design, build and launch.
  3. Design reviewMock-ups on the key pages first, then the rest. You review in Italian.
  4. Build and testWeekly demos on a staging link, mobile first, with accessibility and speed checks.
  5. LaunchRedirects, Search Console, analytics and consent checks, then handover.

Rome is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours behind in winter. A 10:00 call in Rome is 13:30 or 14:30 in Pune. You deal with one lead, and no Italian office is needed.

Pricing

Website projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. The fixed quote reflects the number of page templates, languages, and any booking or catalog features. Read the website cost guide for the factors. Fill in the website brief template before the call to speed things up. Quotes are in US dollars.

Refreshing an existing site is often cheaper than a new design. See website redesign in Italy if your structure still works.

Questions, answered

How long does a website take?
A small company site is often a matter of weeks once copy and photos are ready. Larger or multilingual sites take longer. The fixed quote includes a timeline.
Will the site be in Italian?
Yes. Layouts are tested with Italian text and a native reader you nominate reviews the copy. English, German or French versions can be added.
Do I need a .it domain?
Not required, but .it is the usual choice for an Italian company. The Registro .it publishes the rules on nic.it. We can set up a .com as well and redirect.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. We pick a CMS that fits your team and record short training videos at handover.
Who owns the design and code?
You do. Hosting, domain and accounts are in your name from the start.
