HVAC website cost

How much does an HVAC website cost?

An HVAC site works like a dispatch desk. It has to catch a no-heat call at 6 am and a summer tune-up request in April. What you pay depends on how many services, towns and tools it connects.

In short

An HVAC website costs more as you add service-area pages, financing, online scheduling and a maintenance-plan sign-up. A focused site for one owner-operated company is a small project. A multi-van business with several towns and software links is larger. Liftup Technologies starts at $1,500, charges $30 an hour and gives a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

Where the money goes

HVAC buyers split into two moods. One has a broken furnace or air conditioner and wants a phone number now. The other is planning a replacement and compares quotes for a week. A good site serves both, and each need adds work.

The cost is mostly in four places: the number of distinct pages, the quality of the local content, the connections to scheduling and call tools, and the design polish. Copy about brands, efficiency ratings or rebates must be accurate for your region, which takes time to check.

Seasonality matters here too. Furnace tune-up searches climb in early autumn and air conditioning repairs spike in the first hot week. A site that is already fast and clear before those weeks arrive catches calls that a slow site misses, so build time and launch date are part of the cost conversation.

Features that add or save hours

  • Emergency page and tap-to-call. Small effort, high value. Include the hours you actually answer.
  • Service-area pages. Each needs real local detail. Copying one page and swapping town names adds cost later in lost rankings.
  • Scheduling link. Connecting to a field-service tool, for example ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or Jobber, is light when the tool supplies a widget.
  • Financing. A page explaining payment options and a link to your lender is small. Check lender terms and local rules about how you describe rates.
  • Maintenance plan sign-up. A form and a clear plan page are simple. Online payment for plans is a larger task.
  • Licence and insurance display. Small effort; follow your licensing board's rules for format.

Photos are a quiet cost. Pictures of your own vans, crew and installs make a site look like a real local business. Plan an hour with a phone on a few jobs, or ask us to advise on shots.

Recurring costs

Expect a domain renewal, hosting, security updates and a small amount of ongoing edits for seasonal offers and price changes. Call tracking and form tools may have monthly fees. If you want more leads from the map pack and search, that is ongoing search work and is separate from the build. See our HVAC SEO guide and HVAC website design page.

Template site or custom build

Many HVAC contractors use a lead-generation site from a marketing vendor. These can be quick, but they often lock the domain, the content and the leads to the vendor. Ask who owns the site if you leave. A custom or lightly customized build on WordPress or Webflow keeps files and hosting in your name.

A plain template at a low price can be enough to start. If you choose one, edit it with real photos, real licence details and your own words. For wider options, read the custom website versus template guide.

How to compare quotes

  1. List your pagesServices, brands, towns, financing and plan pages. Give everyone the same list.
  2. Ask about ownershipDomain, hosting, content and leads should belong to you.
  3. Ask about phonesCheck click-to-call, form speed and page load on a mobile connection.
  4. Ask about contentWho writes local pages, and who checks the facts?
  5. Ask about peaksHeat waves and cold snaps are not the time for site changes, so agree launch dates in the quiet season.

Liftup Technologies works remotely from Pune, with offices in Coventry and New York. Our rate is $30 an hour and projects start at $1,500.

Questions, answered

Can the site link to ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro?
Usually yes through a booking widget or link. Features depend on the plan you hold with the software provider.
Are leads from the site mine?
They should be. Forms and call tracking must send data to accounts you own. Be careful with vendors that route leads through their own system.
How many service-area pages do I need?
One for each town you genuinely serve and can describe with local detail. Start with the three or four that bring most jobs.
Can I add financing pages?
Yes. We write the explanation and link to your lender. Check lender rules before quoting rates or approval claims.
When should I launch?
In the shoulder season, before the first heat wave or cold snap, so there is time to test forms and phones.
