In short

Liftup Technologies designs and builds websites for Australian businesses, working remotely from our head office in Pune, India. The scope covers layout, copy structure, the build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Next.js, accessibility checks and launch. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call, and calls are booked inside Australian business hours.

What an Australian visitor expects to find

Most Australian buyers check a few small things before they trust a small-business site. They look for a real business name, an ABN, a number they can call and a price that is the price. A design that looks sharp but hides those facts loses people quietly.

  • Business name and ABN in the footer, matching your invoices and your Google Business Profile.
  • Phone numbers shown the way people dial them: mobiles starting 04, landlines with the area code, and 1300 or 13 numbers if you have them, all as tap-to-call links.
  • Prices shown in Australian dollars and including GST, so the number on the page is the number at checkout.
  • Address fields built for Australia: a state dropdown (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, NT), four-digit postcodes and a suburb lookup so deliveries and quotes do not bounce.
  • Plain refund and warranty wording that matches the Australian Consumer Law, not a pasted US policy.

Local details we build in

GST-inclusive pricingConsumer prices are normally shown with GST includedSet tax-inclusive display in the platform and test the cart total against the product page
Spelling and wordsColour, organise and centre; tradie, ute, arvo, reno are real search wordsWrite and test headings in en-AU; confirm key terms against Search Console data
Pay later badgesAfterpay and Zip are familiar at checkoutAdd the messaging near the price only where you have the account switched on
Privacy noticeThe Privacy Act 1988 applies to many businesses that collect enquiriesPlace a short collection notice beside each form and link the full policy

Accessibility is part of the brief

The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 makes it unlawful to discriminate against people with disability in providing goods and services, and the Australian Human Rights Commission handles complaints. The Act does not name a technical standard, so most Australian organisations use WCAG, and we build to WCAG 2.2 level AA. That means readable contrast, visible keyboard focus, labelled form fields, alt text and no content that depends on hover alone.

We check these in the design file, not after launch, because fixing contrast in a finished build costs more. Whether your own situation carries legal risk is a question for your lawyer.

How a design project runs from India

  1. Short callGoals, audience, pages and the platform you already use. Booked at a time that suits your city.
  2. Fixed quoteScope, timeline and price in writing within one working day.
  3. Design roundsKey pages shown as clickable designs. You review, we revise, one lead keeps the thread.
  4. Build and testResponsive build, speed and accessibility checks, forms tested end to end.
  5. Launch and handoverRedirects, analytics, Search Console and a short walkthrough of how to edit the site.

Sydney and Melbourne are four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of India depending on daylight saving, and Perth is two and a half. We hold design reviews in the morning in India, which lands in your afternoon on the east coast and around lunchtime in Perth. Between calls the work continues, so you often open a new round of designs the next morning.

Speed, hosting and trust signals

Distance still counts. If your visitors are in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, a site served from a European or US server feels slower than one served close by. We put pages behind a CDN with an edge location in Australia and choose hosting with a Sydney region where the platform allows it. We then check real-device speed, not only lab scores, using the Core Web Vitals check.

Trust signals are quick wins here: a clear About page with real people, your service area by suburb or state, licence numbers for regulated trades, and links to your Google Business Profile. We lay these out so they are easy to update when a licence or a service area changes.

Cost and what moves it

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, quoted in US dollars. The number of unique page layouts, custom illustration or photography needs, integrations such as booking or CRM, and how much copy we write all move the price. A five-page brochure site sits near the bottom. Our website cost guide breaks down the drivers, and the website cost calculator gives a quick range before the call.

Questions, answered

Do I need a .com.au domain?
Not for the site to work, but .com.au tells Australians you are local. auDA requires an Australian presence, usually an ABN or ACN, to register one. We can build on whichever domain you hold.
Which platform should my Australian site use?
It depends on who edits it and whether you sell online. WordPress and Webflow suit most service sites; Shopify suits stores. Our website design service page compares the options.
How long does a design and build take?
A small brochure site often takes a few weeks and a larger custom site a few months. The fixed quote includes a dated timeline so you can plan around EOFY in June or a sale period.
Can you work in Australian business hours?
We book calls and reviews inside your working day. Day-to-day build work happens in India's daytime, with written updates waiting for you each morning.
Who owns the finished site?
Code, content and account ownership are terms to settle in writing before work starts, and we state them in the quote. Ask us for the wording during the call.
