In short

Liftup Technologies designs and builds websites for US businesses, working remotely from our head office in Pune, India, with an office in New York. The scope covers page design, mobile layouts, accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, privacy notices for state laws, forms and launch. After a short call you get a fixed quote within one working day, and you own the files and accounts.

What US visitors check before they trust a site

Most US buyers reach a business site from a search result or a social post on a phone, and they decide in seconds whether it looks real. A design that works in Mumbai or Manchester can still miss the habits of this market. The table lists what we plan for.

What the visitor looks forHow it is usually met in the USHow we design it
A real, reachable businessA phone number, a street or service-area line and named peopleContact details in the header and footer, an about page with real staff photos you supply
Proof from other customersReviews, logos, licensing or certification marksA proof block near each call to action, using only reviews you can show a source for
Price or next step clarityA visible price range, a quote form or a booking linkOne primary action per page, repeated in the same place on mobile
Trust at the formA short form and a plain statement of what happens nextThree fields where possible, with a privacy line and a response promise you can keep
Speed on a phonePages that load without layout jumpsLight images, system-friendly layout and a Core Web Vitals check before launch

We also ask which proof you can legally show. Industry licenses, attorney advertising disclaimers and health claims are handled differently from state to state, so we leave space for them in the layout and ask your counsel to approve the wording.

Accessibility is a design input, not a patch

Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act is applied to business websites by many US courts, and demand letters about inaccessible sites are common in retail, food service and professional services. There is no single federal technical rule for private sites, so most contracts and settlements point to WCAG, and WCAG 2.2 AA is the target we design to.

Designing for it early costs much less than fixing it later. Colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, tap targets of at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, form labels and clear error messages are all decided in the design file, not in code review. Our WCAG 2.2 checklist shows the checks we run before launch.

Be careful with overlay widgets that promise instant compliance. The FTC took action in 2025 against an accessibility overlay vendor over its compliance claims. We build accessibility into the page itself and tell you what we tested, and your lawyer decides what that means for your risk.

Privacy and consent on a US site

The US has no single privacy law for websites. California's CCPA and CPRA, plus laws in a growing list of other states, give residents rights over their data and rules about advertising trackers. Whether a law applies to you depends on your size and the data you collect. Your lawyer decides that.

What we do on the design side is practical. We add a privacy policy page and a notice at the point where forms collect data, and we place a 'Your privacy choices' link where your counsel asks for one. If California residents are in scope, the site should honor the Global Privacy Control signal, so we test that the opt-out actually switches off marketing tags. Contact forms that feed email lists need an honest sender identity and an unsubscribe, which is a CAN-SPAM requirement.

How a design project runs from India

India is 9.5 to 13.5 hours ahead of US zones, depending on the zone and the season. Your morning is our evening. In practice a project looks like this.

  1. Brief and sitemapA call in your morning, then a written sitemap and wireframes for approval. No visual design starts before the structure is agreed.
  2. Design in FigmaHome page and two key templates first, with mobile and desktop views. You review overnight our time and comments are in the file when we start.
  3. BuildDevelopment on Webflow, WordPress or Next.js depending on who will edit the site. A staging link is shared early.
  4. TestingKeyboard-only run, screen reader pass, forms, analytics and consent behavior, and speed checks on a mid-range phone.
  5. Launch and handoverRedirects if you are replacing an old site, DNS cut-over at an hour you choose, and a recorded walkthrough for your team.

One project lead stays on your account. The website design service page lists the deliverables in more detail, and the US web pillar covers the broader build picture.

What the project costs

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. After a short call you get a fixed quote within one working day, so you do not pay for open-ended hours. At that rate a quote of $1,500 represents about 50 hours of design and build, which suits a compact brochure site.

What moves the priceWhy
Number of unique page layoutsTen pages on two templates cost far less than ten different layouts
Custom illustration or photographyStock is cheaper; we can art-direct a shoot you book with a local photographer
Booking, quote or calculator featuresThese need forms, logic and testing beyond a normal contact page
Content writing and migrationRewriting text, or moving an existing blog, adds hours
Extra languagesSpanish is the usual second language in the US and doubles the review work

Our website cost guide explains typical ranges, and the website cost calculator gives a first estimate before the call.

Questions, answered

Do you need a US office to design our website?
No. The work is remote, and it is run from our head office in Pune. We also have an office in New York. Calls are booked in your working hours, and design reviews happen in a shared Figma file, so there is no need for a local team.
Will the site be ADA compliant?
We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test with a keyboard and a screen reader before launch. No agency can promise legal immunity, because lawsuits depend on facts we do not control. We give you a written list of what was tested so your lawyer can assess it.
How long does a US website design project take?
A brochure site of five to eight pages usually takes several weeks from approved sitemap to launch, and bigger sites take longer. The main delays are late content and slow feedback rounds, so we agree review dates at the start.
Can the site take Stripe, Apple Pay or booking tools?
Yes. We connect Stripe checkout, Apple Pay and Google Pay where selling is part of the site, and we integrate booking tools such as Calendly. Payment methods are scoped in the quote so there are no surprises.
Who owns the design and the code?
You do. Domain, hosting, design files and code sit in accounts under your name from the first day, and we are added as collaborators. If you leave, you take everything with you.
