Website design in Ireland
Website design for Irish businesses
A site for an Irish firm needs more than a nice layout. It needs the right legal details, a cookie banner that holds up, forms that accept Eircodes and a design every customer can use.

In short
Liftup Technologies designs and builds websites for Irish businesses, working remotely from India. The scope covers layout and copy structure, Eircode-friendly forms, GDPR and ePrivacy consent, the company details Irish law expects, and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility. Calls are booked in Irish working hours, and you get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.
What an Irish business site has to get right
Most design briefs list pages and style. For Ireland, add a short compliance list before the first wireframe, so nothing has to be squeezed into the footer on launch week.
| Requirement | What it means on the page | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Company details | Registered name, number and registered office, usually in the footer | A footer block built into every template, filled from your CRO record |
| Cookie consent | Non-essential cookies stay off until the visitor chooses; reject is as easy as accept | Banner with equal buttons, tested before analytics fire |
| Privacy notice | Names who controls the data and which tools process it | Draft list of processors for your solicitor to review |
| Eircodes | Seven characters, such as D02 X285, with or without a space | Format check that accepts both and never blocks a valid code |
| Accessibility | WCAG 2.2 AA as the build target | Contrast, focus order, labels and keyboard tests on every template |
None of this is legal advice. We build the mechanics and your solicitor signs off the wording.
Design choices that suit Irish buyers
Trust signals matter more than animation. Irish customers like to see where you are, so a clear county or town, a landline in 01, 021 or 091 format next to a mobile number, and a face on the About page all help. Show phone numbers with the +353 prefix as well for visitors abroad.
Service firms often sell to several counties. We design one strong service-area section rather than dozens of thin town pages, and link it to your local SEO plan if search is a goal. If you use Irish in the interface, we set it up as a proper language version with an editor who reads Irish, not an automatic translation.
- Mobile first, since much Irish browsing happens on phones, including in rural areas with patchy signal.
- Fast images and plain fonts so the page loads on a weak connection.
- Tap-to-call and tap-to-map buttons on contact blocks.
- Prices in euro with VAT stated, if you show prices at all.
Accessibility and the European Accessibility Act
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to many consumer-facing services, including online shops, banking and transport booking. Ireland brought it into national law, and very small service providers have an exemption. Whether you are covered is a question for your solicitor, but a design built to WCAG 2.2 AA is the sensible target either way.
Practically, that means enough colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, labelled form fields, alt text written by a person, and captions on video. We check each template by keyboard and with a screen reader before handover, and our WCAG 2.2 checklist shows the items we test.

You deal with one project lead. The design work happens in Pune, and the review rhythm is built around your day.
- Short callWe agree pages, platform and the compliance list above, then send a fixed quote.
- Wireframes and styleYou review layouts on a shared link, with feedback collected in one list.
- BuildWordPress, Webflow or Next.js, depending on who edits the site afterwards.
- Test and launchDevice, accessibility and consent checks, then a handover session and a recording.
Ireland runs on GMT in winter and Irish Standard Time (UTC+1) in summer, so India is 5.5 hours ahead until the end of March and 4.5 hours after. Dublin mornings are our afternoons, which suits a weekly demo around 10:00 or 11:00 your time.
What drives the price
Our projects start at $1,500, and extra work is billed at $30 an hour. The main cost drivers are page count, how many custom layouts you need, a second language, booking or payment features, and how much copy and photography we create for you. Our website cost calculator gives a first range, and the website cost guide explains the bands.
Quotes are in US dollars. Irish clients usually ask us to show the euro equivalent at the day's rate, which we are happy to do. VAT treatment on services bought from India is something to confirm with your accountant.
