In short

Liftup Technologies designs websites for Danish businesses, working remotely from India with calls booked in the Danish working day. We plan the page structure, design every key screen, write or adapt the Danish copy with you, and build the result on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Next.js. Consent banners, accessibility and moms-inclusive pricing are part of the design, not an afterthought. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

What Danish visitors expect from a business site

Danish buyers tend to read before they act. They compare several suppliers, look for the price or at least a price range, and leave quickly when a page feels padded. A design that works in Denmark is calm, direct and easy to scan. It does not shout, and it does not hide the basics.

  • A plain statement of what you sell and to whom, above the fold, in Danish.
  • Visible contact details, plus company name, address and CVR number for trust.
  • Prices or ranges, with moms stated clearly: consumers see prices including 25% moms, business buyers often prefer to see them excluding it.
  • Proof that is specific and checkable, such as certifications, named processes and real photos, rather than adjectives.
  • A fast mobile experience, since much of the first visit happens on a phone.

We turn that list into a page brief before any visual work starts. Our website brief template is the document we ask you to fill in.

Danish copy that reads as native

Visitors notice stiff translations immediately. We do not machine-translate your site. Either your team supplies Danish text, or we draft from your notes and a Danish-speaking reviewer on your side signs it off before launch. We design with real copy early, because layouts built around English placeholder text break when Danish arrives.

If you also want English pages for international buyers, we treat them as their own version with its own wording, and connect the two with da-DK and en hreflang tags. Our hreflang generator is free to use for that.

Consent and accessibility in the first wireframe

Datatilsynet enforces GDPR in Denmark, and cookies sit under a separate national order that asks for informed consent before non-essential cookies are set. A banner that nudges people toward Accept is a risk. We design a banner with equal-weight accept and decline buttons and a place to change the choice later, then confirm that tags stay off until consent is given.

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to many consumer-facing services, including online shops. Some very small service providers are exempt, so ask your lawyer whether you are in scope. Either way, we design to WCAG 2.2 AA: enough contrast, visible focus states, labelled form fields and clear error messages. The WCAG checklist shows what we test.

How a design project runs remotely

  1. Short call and fixed quoteWe agree scope on a call in the Danish morning or early afternoon and send a fixed quote within one working day.
  2. Structure and key screensSitemap, wireframes and the main page designs, reviewed with you on a recorded call.
  3. Full design and copy fitRemaining templates designed with your Danish text in place, including the consent banner and error states.
  4. Build and reviewWeekly demos on a staging link, one named project lead, written notes after every call.
  5. Launch and handoverRedirects, analytics behind consent, and the files and logins handed over to you.

Denmark is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India depending on daylight saving, so calls between 09:00 and mid-afternoon Danish time reach our team at a sensible hour.

Price and what moves it

Projects start at $1,500 and extra work is billed at $30 an hour. What moves the price is page count, the number of unique templates, custom illustration, a second language and any booking or shop features. Quotes are in US dollars, so ask us for a krone estimate when you plan the budget. Our website cost guide explains the ranges, and the website design service page lists what is included.

Questions, answered

Do I need a Danish-language website?
If your buyers are in Denmark, yes for the main journey. Many Danes read English fine, but a Danish page signals that you serve the local market and usually matches how people search. English can follow as a second version.
Is my site covered by the European Accessibility Act?
It may be, if you sell certain services or products to consumers online. Very small service providers can be exempt. Ask a Danish lawyer for a ruling on your case. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA either way.
Do you need an office in Denmark?
No. We work remotely, and the project lead schedules calls inside the Danish working day. Danish text is reviewed by someone on your side.
Who owns the design files and the site?
You do. Domain, hosting, analytics and design files stay in accounts you control, and we hand over logins at launch.
Can the quote be in kroner?
Our public pricing is in US dollars. We can give you a krone figure for planning, but exchange rates move between quote and invoice.
