In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for French businesses, working remotely from India. We audit what ranks today, plan the new structure, redesign and rebuild on a modern platform, and map every old URL to a new one so traffic is protected. Legal pages, CNIL-aware cookie consent and accessibility are updated in the same project. Projects start at $1,500, with a fixed quote within one working day.

When a redesign is worth doing

A redesign makes sense when the site is slow, hard to use on a phone, hard for your team to edit, or no longer matches how you sell. It is not worth it just because the design looks old. Many French sites carry years of search authority, and a careless redesign can erase it in a week.

So we start with data, not mood boards. We list the pages that bring visits and enquiries today, the ones that never did, and the ones that cause support calls. The redesign then keeps what works and replaces what does not. The website redesign service page and the redesign checklist describe the full process.

Protecting your rankings

Our website migration checklist covers the launch day steps. After launch we watch Search Console for errors for several weeks and fix them quickly.

The French content and legal layer

A redesign is the right moment to fix the legal and language basics. Confirm each of these with your lawyer.

  • Mentions légales with the company details the LCEN requires, easy to find from every page.
  • A cookie banner that follows CNIL guidance, with refusal as easy as acceptance, and no trackers firing before consent.
  • Consumer-facing information in French under the Toubon law, including product and contract details.
  • For shops, clear terms, a visible 14-day withdrawal explanation and prices shown TTC.
  • Accessibility work toward the RGAA or WCAG 2.2 AA, since the European Accessibility Act has applied to many consumer services since 28 June 2025.

Our GDPR website checklist and WCAG 2.2 accessibility checklist support this work.

Cookie consent is worth testing on its own. We load the new site in a clean browser, refuse the banner, and confirm that no analytics or advertising tags fire. We then accept and confirm that they do. This simple test often finds old scripts left in the theme.

Language, copy and structure

Many French sites use stiff, translated copy. We rewrite the key pages in clear French, with headings that match how people search, short paragraphs and calls to action that fit French habits: a phone number or a quote request, rather than a pushy sign-up. If you sell to Belgium or Switzerland, we plan the language tags for fr-BE or fr-CH where the offer differs. The hreflang generator helps check them.

The new structure groups pages by what the visitor wants to do, not by how your company is organized. A visitor should reach a service, a price guide or a contact form in two clicks.

Images and video are reviewed at the same time. Oversized photos are the most common cause of a slow mobile page, so we resize them, use modern formats and add descriptive alt text in French for accessibility and image search.

How the project runs

  1. Audit and baselineCrawl, traffic and ranking snapshot, plus a list of what to keep, merge or drop.
  2. Structure and designPage map, wireframes and design for your approval, mobile first.
  3. Build and contentDevelopment on the platform we agree, with French copy and legal pages.
  4. TestRedirects, forms, speed, accessibility and consent behavior.
  5. Launch and monitorRelease at a quiet time, then watch errors and rankings.

France is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India, so approvals happen in your morning and builds progress overnight. One lead coordinates, and the accounts stay in your name.

Pricing guidance

Projects start at $1,500 and the rate is $30 an hour. A small brochure site fits near the start. Page count, platform, copywriting, the number of redirects, integrations and a shop section move the price. The website redesign cost guide lists the factors, and you get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call. If the redesign includes an online store, read ecommerce development in France too, and for the design itself see website design in France.

Questions, answered

Will we lose our Google rankings?
Rankings can move after any redesign. A tested redirect map, kept content and a baseline reduce the risk, and we monitor after launch.
Can we keep our current platform?
Often yes. We compare keeping it with moving to something easier to maintain, and explain the cost of each.
How long does a redesign take?
A small site can take a few weeks. Larger sites take longer. The fixed quote includes a timeline.
Do you rewrite the French copy?
Yes, with review by a French speaker. You approve the final text and any legal wording.
What if we also sell in Belgium or Switzerland?
We plan the language and region tags, pricing and legal terms for each market during structure planning.
