In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for Belgian companies, working remotely from India. We audit what ranks and converts today, plan the new structure, rebuild on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Next.js in Dutch, French and English as needed, map every old URL to a new one, fix accessibility and speed, and check Search Console after launch. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

When a redesign is worth it

A redesign is worth the cost when the site loses enquiries for a clear reason: it looks dated next to competitors, it is slow on phones, it cannot be edited without a developer, or it no longer matches how you sell. It is not worth it if the main problem is thin content or weak links, which a new theme will not fix. We start with an audit that separates the two, so the budget goes to the right thing. A redesign done badly can also cut traffic by dropping pages that rank, so planning matters as much as design.

Dutch, French and the structure of the site

A redesign is the moment to fix the language setup. Many Belgian sites carry a half-translated French version, a language switcher that drops visitors on the home page, or duplicate content across folders. We decide with you whether to keep one domain with language folders or use separate domains, and we implement hreflang for nl-BE and fr-BE so that each page points to its matching version. German pages are added only if they are complete. The Belgium technical SEO page explains the details, and our hreflang generator helps check the tags.

Accessibility, privacy and legal pages

  • Accessibility. The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to many consumer-facing services such as online shops and booking. We design for WCAG 2.2 AA: contrast, focus states, labels, error messages and keyboard use. Our WCAG checklist lists the checks.
  • Cookies and privacy. The Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) enforces GDPR. The new site needs a consent banner that does not shift the layout, and a privacy notice that matches the tools you use.
  • Legal notice. Company name, registered address, enterprise number and VAT number should be easy to find. Confirm wording with your lawyer.
  • Forms. Collect only the fields you need, and say what happens to the data.

Design, speed and editing

We design around the actions you want visitors to take: request a quote, book a visit, buy a product. That means clear page templates, readable type and proof that is real, such as your own photos, certifications and named contacts. Speed is part of the design brief. We set targets for Core Web Vitals on mobile, compress images, limit scripts and choose fonts with loading in mind. You also get a content system your team can edit, with short training so small changes do not need us. See WordPress development in Belgium or website design in Belgium for the build options.

Content and photography

New designs often fail because content arrives late or does not fit. We ask for your text, photos and documents early, and we review them against the new templates. Real photos of your team, premises and work usually beat stock images. If you need new ones, a local photographer in Belgium is a better choice than remote production, and we will brief them. We also tidy headings, meta titles and alt text while moving content, so the new site starts cleaner than the old one.

Timeline, work from India and pricing

  1. AuditTraffic, rankings, speed, accessibility and conversion review.
  2. PlanSite map, languages, redirect plan and design direction.
  3. Design and buildTemplates, content transfer and testing on a staging site.
  4. LaunchRedirects live, sitemaps submitted, monitoring started.
  5. ReviewSearch Console and conversion check after the first weeks.

We are remote. Belgium is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours behind in winter, so reviews happen in your morning. One lead owns the project, and your domain, hosting and code stay in your name.

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. Price follows page count, languages and custom features. Read the website redesign cost guide and the website redesign service page. A Belgian VAT-registered buyer normally reverse-charges VAT at 21% on our services; confirm with your accountant.

Questions, answered

Will we lose our Google rankings?
Some movement is normal after launch, but a clean redirect map, carried-over content and monitoring keep losses small. We cannot promise zero change.
Can the redesign add a French version?
Yes. We plan it as real content with its own URLs and hreflang, not a plugin that translates on the fly.
Do we keep our current domain?
Usually yes. Changing domains adds risk, so we do it only for a clear reason and with extra redirect work.
How long does a redesign take?
A small site can take a few weeks, a larger multilingual one a few months. The fixed quote includes a schedule.
Can you redesign only part of the site?
Yes. Rebuilding key pages and templates first is often cheaper and safer than a full replacement.
