In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for US businesses, working remotely from India with an office in New York. We audit what the current site earns, set goals, rebuild layout, content and structure, map every old address to a new one, bring the site to WCAG 2.2 AA and check forms and tracking before launch. Rankings are watched daily for the first weeks. A fixed quote follows a short call.

Start with what the old site earns

A redesign can lose years of search work in a single launch day. Before drawing anything, we export the pages that bring organic visitors, the pages that bring leads or sales, the links pointing at the site and the forms and phone numbers that generate enquiries. Those pages are protected in the new design, and the rest are reviewed for merging or removal.

Our website redesign service page describes the full process, and the website redesign checklist is the document we use.

Accessibility as part of the brief

In the US, websites of businesses open to the public are a regular target of ADA Title III lawsuits, and the Department of Justice has pointed to WCAG as the usual reference for web accessibility. WCAG 2.2 AA is therefore our design target, which affects color contrast, text size, focus states, form labels, keyboard use and the way menus and dialogs behave. Building it in during a redesign is much cheaper than patching it later. We avoid depending on overlay widgets as a fix, since they do not repair the underlying code and have drawn criticism and regulatory attention. We run automated checks and manual keyboard and screen-reader tests, then hand you a written summary. Nobody can promise immunity from a claim, and your lawyer advises on risk.

The WCAG 2.2 accessibility checklist lists what we test.

Keeping rankings through the move

  • A redirect map from every old address to the best new page, tested before launch.
  • Titles, headings and body text kept where pages already rank, unless there is a good reason to change them.
  • Canonical tags, XML sitemap, robots rules and structured data rebuilt on the new site.
  • A staging site that is blocked from search, with a final check that the block is removed on launch day.
  • Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and analytics verified again after the move, with annotations of the launch date.
  • Daily checks for crawl errors, dropped pages and ranking changes during the first weeks.

A few weeks of movement after a launch is common. A permanent drop usually traces back to missing redirects, removed content or a blocked crawl, all of which we check. The website migration checklist covers the sequence in more detail.

Tracking, consent and the US calendar

A redesign is the time to clean up tags. We review analytics, ad pixels and chat widgets, remove dead ones, and set a consent banner according to what your counsel requires for state privacy laws such as CCPA and CPRA. California rules also expect honoring opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, which we test. Forms are tested end to end, including the email notifications and CRM entries, so that no lead disappears during the cut-over.

Timing matters for retail and seasonal businesses. In 2026 Black Friday is on 27 November and Cyber Monday on 30 November, so we avoid launching a store redesign in the weeks before. Tax-season firms, schools and event businesses have their own busy weeks, and we plan around them. Our US web pillar lists the other points we check.

Timeline and price

  1. Audit and goalsTraffic, conversion and content review, plus a written list of what the new site must do.
  2. Structure and designPage map, wireframes, then designs for desktop and mobile, with one round of changes at each stage.
  3. Build and contentDevelopment on staging, content moved and edited, accessibility testing along the way.
  4. Test and redirectForms, tracking, speed and the redirect map checked page by page.
  5. Launch and watchCut-over at a quiet hour for your customers, then daily monitoring.

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. Page count, custom features, content work and platform decide the quote. A fixed price follows a short call within one working day. Design reviews can be held in your morning: 9:30 a.m. Eastern is 20:00 in India in winter. The website redesign cost guide explains the usual drivers.

Questions, answered

Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?
It can if redirects, content and technical settings are mishandled. We plan to avoid that and watch the numbers after launch, but some movement for a few weeks is normal.
Can we keep our current platform?
Often yes. A new theme or layout on WordPress or Shopify is cheaper than a platform change. We recommend a move only when the current system blocks what you need.
Can we redesign in stages?
Yes. A common route is to rebuild the home page, key service pages and contact forms first, then move other sections later. Each stage still needs redirects and testing.
Do you rewrite the text?
We edit and restructure existing content and write new pages where needed. Pages that rank get careful treatment so that the useful parts stay.
Who owns the new site?
You do. Domain, hosting, code and platform accounts are in your name, and our access can be removed at any time.
