In short

Liftup Technologies builds iOS and Android apps for French businesses, working remotely from India. We use React Native or Flutter, localize the app and store listings into French, prepare privacy declarations for Apple and Google, and plan accessibility and consent from the start. Projects start at $1,500, with a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

When a French business needs an app

An app earns its cost when people use it repeatedly: a booking tool for a clinic group, an ordering app for a restaurant chain, a field-service tool for technicians, a loyalty app for a retailer, or a companion to a software product. If customers visit once a year, a fast mobile website is usually the better first step, and our PWA vs native app comparison explains the trade-off.

France has a high share of iPhone users alongside a large Android base, so most products need both. One shared codebase keeps the cost and the maintenance work down. That is why we build with React Native or Flutter unless a feature truly needs platform-specific code.

Before design starts, we ask what the app must do in the first 30 seconds. French users tend to delete apps that ask for an account, a notification permission and a location before showing any value. A clear first screen and delayed permission prompts protect your install-to-use rate.

Privacy, consent and store rules

Apps process personal data as much as websites do, and the CNIL applies its trackers guidance to apps as well as to websites. Check the points below with your data protection contact.

  • Apple asks for privacy labels and a clear explanation if you track users across other companies' apps. Google Play has a similar data safety form. Both must match what the app really collects.
  • Analytics and advertising SDKs should wait for consent where the rules require it, and refusing should be as easy as accepting.
  • The app needs a privacy policy in French, linked in the store and inside the app.
  • Account deletion has to be possible from inside the app when users can create accounts.
  • Digital goods sold inside iOS and Android apps follow store payment rules, while physical goods and services can use your own checkout, for example with Cartes Bancaires and Apple Pay.

Accessibility

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to certain consumer services, including mobile apps that support online shopping or banking. Microenterprises that provide services have an exemption, so whether you are covered depends on your size and sector. Either way, an accessible app reaches more people. We design with large-text support, screen reader labels, sufficient contrast and touch targets that are big enough, and we test with VoiceOver and TalkBack before release.

How the project runs from India

France is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India, so we meet in your morning and ship builds at the end of our day, ready for you to test overnight. A single lead owns the project. You receive a TestFlight and Google Play internal test link every week, so progress is a thing you can hold in your hand, not a slide deck.

The Apple Developer and Google Play accounts are opened in your company's name, and the source code is transferred to your repository at handover. If your product also needs a web dashboard, see web app development in France.

After release we watch crash reports and store reviews, and answer review feedback in French if you want us to. Apple and Google both change requirements every year, so a short maintenance agreement helps the app stay listed.

Pricing guidance

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour. A small app with a few screens and a ready-made backend sits at the lower end. Cost rises with the number of screens, user accounts, payments, offline mode, push notifications, maps, integrations and the size of the backend. Apple and Google charge their own developer fees. See our mobile app development service for the approach and the web app cost guide for comparable backend work. Starting with a minimum version is a good way to learn what French users actually use.

Questions, answered

Should I choose React Native or Flutter?
Both build for iOS and Android from one codebase. We choose based on your team, existing code and features, and explain the reason in the quote.
Can the app be French only?
Yes. We set French as the default and keep the strings in separate files so another language can be added later.
Who owns the app and the store accounts?
You do. Developer accounts are in your name, and the source code is transferred at handover.
Does my app need a cookie banner?
Not in the web sense, but analytics and advertising identifiers can need consent under CNIL guidance. We build a consent screen where it applies.
How long does a first version take?
A simple app often takes a couple of months. Anything with payments or complex accounts takes longer. The quote gives a schedule based on your scope.
