In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for Spanish businesses, working remotely from India. We audit what works, keep the pages and rankings you depend on, rebuild the design and structure, update legal pages, consent and accessibility, and launch with tested redirects. Projects start at $1,500, and a fixed quote follows a short call.

When a redesign is the right answer

A redesign costs time and carries risk, so it should solve a real problem. Common reasons in Spain include a site that looks dated next to competitors, poor mobile use, a platform that is hard to edit, missing legal information, or a business that has changed and no longer matches its site.

Sometimes a smaller fix is enough. If the site ranks and converts but looks tired, a lighter refresh may be better than a full rebuild. We say so after the audit. Our website redesign checklist shows the items we review, and the general website redesign service page explains the method.

A good brief makes the project shorter. Before we start, we ask for your goals, your best and worst pages, any brand rules, and examples of sites you admire and sites you dislike. Short answers are fine. We turn them into a one-page plan that you approve before design begins.

Protecting the traffic you already have

The largest risk in a redesign is losing search visibility. New URLs, deleted pages and rewritten text can wipe out years of rankings. We start by recording which pages bring traffic and leads, then decide what to keep, merge or retire.

RiskHow it happensOur safeguard
Lost rankingsTop pages change URL or lose their textKeep winning pages and map every old URL to a new one
Broken linksMenus and internal links point to old pathsCrawl before and after launch
Language errorsSpanish and regional versions fall out of syncCheck hreflang and canonical tags
Slower pagesHeavy new design and scriptsSet a speed budget before design
Tracking gapsTags and forms stop workingTest every conversion path before launch

After launch we watch Google Search Console for errors and ranking changes for several weeks. The website migration checklist lists the technical steps, and technical SEO in Spain covers the wider checks.

Legal, consent and accessibility updates

A redesign is a good time to fix compliance gaps. Spanish sites normally need an aviso legal with the business details required under LSSI-CE, a privacy policy under GDPR and the LOPDGDD, and a cookie policy with a consent mechanism. The AEPD supervises cookies and data protection. Your lawyer provides the text, and we place and link it correctly.

  • A cookie banner where rejecting is as easy as accepting, with scripts blocked until consent.
  • Forms with a privacy notice and a consent checkbox where needed.
  • Legal pages linked in the footer on every page.
  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, since the European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many online shops and consumer services.

Your lawyer confirms whether the Act applies to your business. Our GDPR website checklist and WCAG 2.2 checklist show what we test.

If your site has a shop or booking form, we also check that the privacy notice, consent text and confirmation emails are in plain Spanish and that data is stored where your policy says it is. Small errors here are common after a redesign and easy to prevent.

Design for Spanish visitors

Most visits come from phones, so we design for small screens first. Spanish copy often runs longer than English, which affects buttons and menus, so layouts must allow for that. Opening hours should show the midday break if you have one, and contact options should include the channels your customers use, such as WhatsApp for local services.

Trust matters. Real photos of your team and premises, client logos you have permission to show, clear prices or price ranges and visible company details all help. If you serve Catalonia, the Basque Country or Galicia, we plan whether to add a regional language version, and whether you can keep it up to date.

We also review speed on a mid-range phone with a mobile connection, since many visitors are not on fast fibre. A lighter design often does more for conversions than a prettier one.

How a redesign runs from India

  1. AuditTraffic, rankings, speed, legal pages, accessibility and what visitors do.
  2. PlanPage map, redirect map and a design direction in Spanish.
  3. Design and buildTemplates reviewed weekly on a private staging site.
  4. TestForms, redirects, tracking, phones and accessibility checks.
  5. Launch and monitorGo-live outside your busiest hours, then watch Search Console.

Review calls take place in the Spanish morning. Spain trails India by three and a half hours in summer and four and a half in winter.

Price

Projects start at $1,500, and extra work is $30 an hour. The number of templates, languages, pages to migrate and integrations move the quote. The website redesign cost guide explains the drivers. Request a fixed quote on the contact page. Hosting, licences and stock photos are separate costs. Prices are in US dollars.

Questions, answered

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can if URLs and content change carelessly. We plan redirects and keep high-value pages to limit the risk, though some movement is normal in the first weeks.
How long does a redesign take?
A small business site often takes a few weeks. Larger sites with many pages or languages take longer.
Can we change platform at the same time?
Yes, for example from a page builder to WordPress or Shopify. That raises the migration work, so we plan it carefully.
Can we keep our domain?
Yes, and we recommend it unless there is a clear reason to move. A change from .com to .es needs a full redirect plan.
Do you write the new Spanish copy?
We draft and edit copy from your input and ask a native reviewer on your side to approve it. See website design in Spain for design work.
