Website care in Australia
Website maintenance for Australian businesses
Most hacked or broken websites were not attacked cleverly. They were simply left alone. We keep Australian sites updated, backed up and monitored remotely, at an hourly rate that scales with how much your site changes.

In short
Liftup Technologies provides website maintenance for Australian businesses, working remotely from India with calls in your afternoon. We apply updates, check backups, monitor uptime and security, fix broken pages and make content edits on WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow and custom sites. Work is billed at $30 an hour, with a fixed quote for any clean-up project.
Why unattended sites cause trouble
A site is software. Plugins age, browsers change, PHP versions are retired, and certificates expire. A clinic in Adelaide or a trades firm in Perth may not notice until the contact form stops working or the homepage shows a warning. By then, enquiries have already been lost.
Maintenance is the routine that prevents this. It is dull work done on a schedule, and it costs far less than recovering a hacked site. Our maintenance checklist shows the tasks we cover.
Our website maintenance service covers WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow and custom builds, so one team looks after the whole site rather than splitting plugins, hosting and content between three suppliers.
What we do each month
| Task | How often | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Core, plugin and theme updates, tested on a copy first | Monthly, urgent patches sooner | Known flaws are the common way sites are broken into |
| Backups, with a test restore | Daily or weekly backup, quarterly restore test | A backup you have never restored is a hope |
| Uptime and form monitoring | Continuous | You hear about an outage before customers do |
| Security scan and login review | Monthly | Finds odd files, old admin users and weak accounts |
| Broken links and speed check | Monthly | Protects search visibility and conversions |
| Domain and SSL renewal watch | Ahead of expiry | Prevents a lapse that takes the site offline |
For online stores we also test checkout, tax and shipping after every update. Our WordPress security checklist covers the hardening steps.
Content edits are part of the same routine. Opening hours change, staff come and go, and prices are updated for the new financial year on 1 July. We keep a short request list, batch small edits together, and publish them on set days so your site never shows last year's details.
Australian points to keep in view
| Topic | What applies | Maintenance angle |
|---|---|---|
| Notifiable Data Breaches scheme | Under the Privacy Act 1988, eligible breaches must be reported to the OAIC and affected people | Logs, access control and quick detection so you can assess a breach |
| Australian Privacy Principles | Reasonable steps to protect personal information | Updates, least-privilege accounts and removing unused plugins |
| auDA domain rules | A .au domain needs renewal and valid registrant details | Renewal reminders and contact checks |
| Consumer law | Prices and claims shown must be accurate | Content checks after plugin or theme changes |
| Accessibility | WCAG 2.2 AA is the usual target | Regression checks after design edits |
Your lawyer decides what applies to your business. We keep records that make that decision easier.

Get my fixed quotePricing: pay by the hour
Work runs at $30 an hour, and a first-time clean-up, audit or rebuild is quoted as a fixed project starting at $1,500. For ongoing care, most clients book a monthly block of hours. The examples below show the arithmetic. Monthly maintenance plans start from $120 a month (4 hours at $30 an hour), and you can move up or down a block whenever your needs change.
| Hours per month | Cost at $30 an hour | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | $120 | Updates, backup check, small text edits on a quiet site |
| 10 | $300 | Monthly care plus a few content and layout changes |
| 20 | $600 | Active site: new pages, speed work, plugin or app changes |
Unused hours do not need to be carried over unless we agree otherwise in writing. See the website maintenance cost guide for what moves the numbers.
How remote care works for Australia
Australian time zones are four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of India. Urgent issues reported in your morning reach our early afternoon, and routine tasks run in our working day, so many fixes finish before your afternoon. We report in a short monthly note.
- Site reviewA short audit of platform, plugins, hosting, backups and access.
- QuoteA fixed price for any clean-up, plus an hourly plan for ongoing care.
- Routine careUpdates, backups, monitoring and fixes on a set calendar.
- Monthly noteWhat changed, what was found, what comes next.
When fixing is not enough
Sometimes the site is too old or too tangled to keep patching. If every update breaks something, a rebuild may cost less over a year than constant repair. Our article on maintenance versus redesign explains how to decide, and we will say so plainly if a rebuild is the better value.
Whichever route you take, we document the site as we go: hosting details, plugin list, integrations and who holds each login. That record is yours, and it lets another developer take over without a long handover if you ever change supplier.
