In short

Liftup Technologies builds iOS and Android apps for Belgian businesses, working remotely from India. Apps use React Native or Flutter with a backend that fits your data, ship with Dutch and French interfaces, and are prepared for App Store and Google Play review, GDPR and accessibility. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

When a Belgian business needs an app

Most Belgian companies do not need an app on day one. A fast mobile site is cheaper and reaches everyone. An app makes sense when users come back often, need push notifications, use the camera or location, work offline, or log in daily: a customer portal, a booking tool for a clinic, a loyalty scheme, a field-service tool or an internal app for staff. We say so when a web app or a progressive web app would do the job. Our PWA vs native app comparison sets out the trade-offs.

Choosing the build approach

ApproachBest forWatch for
React NativeMost business apps on both platforms from one codebaseSome native features need extra modules
FlutterHighly custom interfaces and animationLarger app size, different skill pool for later maintenance
Native iOS or AndroidHeavy device features or one platform onlyTwo codebases cost more to build and update
Progressive web appContent, simple tools and a quick startFewer device features and limited iPhone behavior

We recommend one approach after the scoping call and explain why. All options use a backend you own.

Belgian details inside the app

  • Languages. The interface ships in Dutch and French, with English as a third option if your users need it. The app follows the phone's language and lets the user change it. German can be added.
  • Sign-in. Many Belgians use the itsme identity app for secure login. Whether it fits depends on your use case and on onboarding with the provider, so we check it early. Email, Apple and Google sign-in are the simpler options.
  • Payments. Bancontact and Payconiq are common with Belgian users. In-app purchases of digital goods follow Apple and Google rules, while physical goods and services can use your payment provider.
  • Formats. Dates, euro prices, four-digit postal codes and +32 phone numbers validated correctly.

Support for any provider depends on your account and country settings, so we confirm each integration before we promise it.

Privacy, accessibility and store review

The Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) enforces GDPR. In an app that means a privacy policy linked in the store listing and inside the app, accurate answers in the App Store privacy details and the Google Play data safety form, consent before analytics or advertising SDKs, and a way to delete an account. Push notifications for marketing need permission too.

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to some consumer services, which can include apps. We build with screen-reader labels, scalable text and sufficient contrast. Ask your lawyer whether your service is in scope. Apple and Google both publish review rules, and we prepare screenshots, descriptions and test accounts so the first submission is clean.

How a project runs from India

  1. ScopeUsers, screens, integrations and platforms, then a fixed quote.
  2. DesignClickable prototype in Dutch and French, tested on real phones.
  3. BuildTwo-week builds with a TestFlight and Android test link each demo.
  4. TestDevice checks, accessibility checks and a security review of the backend.
  5. ReleaseStore submission from your developer accounts, then a support block.

Belgium is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours behind in winter. Demos happen in your morning, and one lead is your single contact. Store accounts, code and backend stay in your name.

Backend, security and updates

The app is the visible part, and the backend does the real work: accounts, data, notifications and integrations. We build it on a stack your team or a later developer can maintain, host it in a European region where data allows, and document every endpoint. Login tokens expire, passwords are never stored in plain text, and personal data is encrypted in transit.

After launch, plan for updates. Apple and Google release new operating system versions each year, and apps that are not updated eventually break or lose store visibility. We schedule a yearly compatibility review and keep release notes in both languages for your users. If you later need to add features, the same team can carry on, or you can move to another developer because the code is yours.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. The price moves with the number of screens, the backend, integrations such as payments or login, and whether you need both platforms. Apple and Google charge their own developer fees. Our web app cost guide and MVP cost guide show typical drivers. A Belgian VAT-registered buyer normally reverse-charges VAT at 21% on services from India; check with your accountant. Questions, answered

Can one app serve both Dutch and French users?
Yes. We build the interface with language files, so the app follows the device language and users can switch. All screens, errors, notifications and store listings are prepared in each language.
Do I need a Belgian company to publish an app?
Apple and Google have their own account rules for businesses and individuals. You normally publish under your own developer account, and we help prepare the submission. Check the current requirements for your business type.
How long does an app take?
A focused first version often takes a couple of months, more with complex integrations. The fixed quote includes a timeline.
Who owns the source code?
You do. We work in a repository you own and hand over documentation.
Can you maintain the app after launch?
Yes. Operating system updates arrive every year and need testing, so we offer a support block at our hourly rate.
