In short
Liftup Technologies builds custom web applications for Belgian companies, working remotely from India. Typical projects are customer portals, booking and quoting tools, dashboards and internal systems on Next.js or React with a PostgreSQL backend, with Dutch and French interfaces, role-based access, EU hosting and GDPR controls. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.
What Belgian businesses build
Most web apps we scope for Belgian clients replace a spreadsheet, a shared mailbox or a set of disconnected tools. A distributor wants a customer portal where trade clients check stock and reorder. A clinic wants appointment booking with reminders. A professional-services firm wants a client area for documents and invoices. A manufacturer wants an internal tool linking orders, production steps and delivery. The apps are not large, but they touch money, personal data or both, so structure and security matter from the first sprint.
Common app types and what they need
| App type | Core features | Belgian point to settle early |
|---|---|---|
| Customer portal | Login, orders, documents, invoices | Language per user, and how invoices follow Belgian VAT rules |
| Booking tool | Calendar, reminders, payments | Dutch and French emails and SMS, Bancontact through your payment provider |
| Internal operations tool | Roles, workflows, reports | Who may see personal data, and for how long it is kept |
| Marketplace or directory | Listings, search, messaging | Terms of service, moderation and the position of the platform operator |
| Dashboard | Data from several systems | Source accounts held by you, with minimal access |
If your idea is early, an MVP with the core flow only is a safer start than a full system.
Integration work deserves its own line in the plan. Payment providers, accounting tools, identity services and shipping carriers each have rate limits, test modes and review steps, and they set the real schedule for many projects. We list them at scoping and confirm access early, so a missing account does not stall a sprint.
Language, login and data
- Languages. The interface follows the user's saved language, with Dutch and French as the base pair and English where staff need it. Emails, PDFs and error messages are translated too, not only the screens.
- Login. Email and password with two-factor, plus single sign-on for staff. Some Belgian organizations use the itsme app for strong identity checks. It needs onboarding with the provider, so we raise it at scoping.
- Hosting. We recommend a European cloud region and backups you can restore. That also keeps the data flow easy to describe in your privacy notice.
- Data rights. People can ask to see, correct or delete their data under GDPR. We build export and deletion tools so staff do not handle requests by hand.
The Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) enforces GDPR in Belgium. For apps that process sensitive data at scale, ask your lawyer whether a data protection impact assessment is needed.

Get my fixed quoteAccessibility and quality
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to a range of consumer-facing services, which can include online booking and account areas. Even for a staff-only tool, accessible forms and keyboard use reduce training time. We build with WCAG 2.2 AA in mind and test with a screen reader before release. Our WCAG checklist shows the tests. We add automated tests around the money and permission logic, because those are the parts that must not break.
How a project runs from India
- DiscoveryUsers, roles, data and the three flows that matter most.
- PrototypeClickable screens in both languages, reviewed by the people who will use them.
- Build in sprintsTwo-week cycles with a live staging site and a demo each cycle.
- HardenPermission tests, backups, monitoring and a security review.
- Launch and supportStaged rollout, then a support block at our hourly rate.
We are remote. Belgium is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours behind in winter, so your morning meets our afternoon. One lead owns the project. Code and cloud accounts are in your name.
Security and operations
Apps hold data that people expect you to protect. We follow standard practice: input validation, hashed passwords, rate limits on login, encrypted connections, separate environments for testing and live use, and regular dependency updates. Backups run on a schedule and we test a restore before launch. Monitoring sends an alert when errors rise or a service stops. After launch, a support block lets you request fixes and small features without a new project.
Pricing
Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. Real apps cost more than the minimum: price follows the number of user roles, screens, integrations and the level of testing. Our web app cost guide lists the usual drivers, and the web app service page the full scope. A Belgian VAT-registered buyer normally reverse-charges VAT at 21% on services from India; confirm with your accountant. For a native app see mobile apps in Belgium.

Web app development that starts with your process
A web app should replace a spreadsheet, an inbox or a patchwork of tools. We map how work happens today, then build only what removes the friction.
Pricing guideHow much does a web app cost in 2026?
Web apps are priced on how many things they track and how many actions people take on them. Count both and the quote becomes easier to judge.
