In short

Liftup Technologies provides Shopify SEO for Spanish stores, working remotely from India. We audit collections, products and duplicate URLs, set up Spanish and regional language versions with hreflang, add product schema, speed up the theme and write category and product copy. We work within Shopify's fixed URL structure. A fixed quote follows a short call.

What Shopify fixes and what it does not

Shopify handles many technical basics: a sitemap, HTTPS, canonical tags and mobile-friendly themes. It also has fixed rules that you cannot change, such as the folder names in URLs, and quirks that create duplicate pages. Good Shopify SEO accepts those limits and focuses on what you can control.

AreaShopify behaviorWhat we do
Duplicate product URLsA product can load under its collection path as well as the main pathCheck that canonical tags point to the main product URL
Tag and filter pagesTag and filter combinations can create thin pagesLimit indexing of low-value combinations
URL folders/products/ and /collections/ are fixedWrite clear handles instead
Theme speedApps and sliders add scriptsRemove unused apps and defer scripts
RedirectsDeleted products leave dead URLsAdd 301 redirects to the closest match

Our Shopify SEO checklist lists the items we review, and the general Shopify SEO service page explains the method.

A short example shows the scale of the problem. A store with 300 products and six filters can expose thousands of crawlable URLs, while only a few hundred deserve to rank. Cleaning that up lets search engines spend their time on the pages that sell.

Spanish language, Markets and hreflang

A Spanish store should show Spanish text everywhere, including titles, descriptions, checkout messages and emails. If you also sell in other countries or languages, Shopify's market and language settings can create separate versions, and the platform can output hreflang tags for them. We check that the tags are correct and that translations are complete, because half-translated pages perform badly.

  • Use es-ES wording for a Spain-first store, and a separate version for Latin America if you sell there.
  • If you add Catalan, Basque or Galician, translate the whole template and not only some products.
  • Do not machine-translate and publish thousands of products without review.
  • Keep currency, shipping and tax settings consistent with each version.

More on language signals is in technical SEO for Spain and the Spain SEO overview.

Collection and product pages that rank

Most Shopify stores earn their search traffic from collection pages and product pages. A collection page needs a clear heading, a short helpful introduction and well-named subcategories. A product page needs a unique description, specifications, honest images and genuine reviews. Copying the supplier's text leaves you competing with every other store that did the same.

Product schema helps search engines show price, availability and ratings. We check that the markup matches what is on the page, since mismatches can lead to ignored data. In Spain, consumers expect prices shown with IVA included, so make sure the displayed and structured prices agree. Review markup should only use real reviews.

Internal links also matter on Shopify. Menus, related products and collection blurbs decide how authority flows through the store. We map the main money pages and make sure each one is reachable in a few clicks and linked from relevant guides.

Speed, apps and consent

Every app can add code to your storefront. We audit installed apps, remove those that are unused or duplicate, and measure speed on a mobile connection. Image sizes, fonts and sliders usually give the largest gains.

Consent matters too. GDPR and the cookie rules in LSSI-CE apply, with the AEPD as supervisor, and Shopify's customer privacy settings need to be set so that tracking waits for consent. Consent choices reduce the data in analytics, so we use Search Console as the base for SEO reporting. Your lawyer confirms the legal wording.

Checkout and thank-you pages should stay out of the index, and so should internal search results. We confirm these settings and test them with live URL inspection in Search Console.

How we work from India

  1. AuditCrawl, indexed pages, duplicates, speed, schema and apps.
  2. Fix the baseRedirects, canonicals, titles, app clean-up and language setup.
  3. Improve pagesCollection and product copy for the most valuable categories first.
  4. Build links and contentGuides and buying advice that earn mentions.
  5. ReportSearch Console, orders and revenue by landing page.

Calls fit Spanish mornings. Spain is three and a half hours behind India in summer and four and a half in winter. Changes are made in a duplicate theme or reviewed before publishing, so the live store is not put at risk.

For stores that plan a redesign or theme change, we review SEO before launch rather than after. It is cheaper to keep a heading, a redirect or a schema field than to recover lost rankings later.

Price

Projects start at $1,500, and extra work is $30 an hour. Catalogue size, number of languages and amount of copy move the quote. See the ecommerce SEO cost guide, then request a fixed quote on the contact page. Shopify plans and app fees are billed by their providers. Prices are in US dollars.

Questions, answered

Is Shopify good for SEO?
It covers the technical basics well. Results still depend on your content, links and site structure, as on any platform.
Do I need a Spanish SEO app?
Not always. Many tasks can be done in the theme and settings. We recommend an app only when it solves a clear problem, as every app adds weight.
Can you fix duplicate content on collections?
Yes. We check canonical tags, filter pages and tag pages, and limit indexing of low-value combinations.
Do you do Shopify development as well?
Yes. See Shopify development in Spain for theme and store builds.
How long until I see results?
Technical fixes can show in Search Console within weeks. Ranking gains for competitive terms take months.
