In short

Liftup Technologies provides SEO and AI search optimization for Canadian businesses, working remotely from India with calls booked in Canadian mornings. The work covers technical fixes, content and links tuned for google.ca: Canadian spelling, en-CA and fr-CA hreflang, the local retail calendar and Canadian privacy and messaging rules. Results are reported from your own Google Search Console. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

What changes when the market is Canada

Canada is one country with two search languages, six time zones and a retail year that peaks around Boxing Day. Most searchers use google.ca, and Canadian English sits between US and UK habits: colour and centre, but organize with a z. In Quebec a large share of searches are in French, and Quebec French has its own vocabulary. A plan built from a US keyword list misses both.

Common US wordingWhat Canadians often typeWhat we do with it
zip code, statepostal code, provinceFix forms, local pages and schema fields
restroomwashroomCheck the query in Search Console before changing a title
beanietoqueUse the Canadian word for apparel categories
sodapopRegional, so we test it by province
sneakersrunners or sneakersBoth appear, so we map each to its own intent

This list is a prompt, not a data set. Every term is checked against real Canadian queries before it reaches a title or heading.

Domains, languages and site structure

The .ca domain is run by CIRA, which sets Canadian presence requirements for registrants. A .ca signals the market well, but it is not the only route. The right structure depends on who you are and where you sell.

SituationSetup we would suggestWatch for
Canadian company selling in CanadaA .ca domain with English as the default languageRegistrant eligibility before you buy the domain
US .com that also sells in CanadaA /ca/ or /en-ca/ section with Canadian dollar prices and Canadian shippingNear-duplicate pages for en-US and en-CA without hreflang
Selling to Quebec customersA /fr/ section marked fr-CA, translated and adapted by a humanMachine-pasted French and untranslated checkout steps

Google documents how to mark language and region versions, and our hreflang generator produces the tags. For the wider picture see international SEO.

Privacy and messaging rules that touch SEO work

  • PIPEDA, the federal private-sector privacy law, applies when analytics, forms and remarketing collect personal information. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner publishes the guidance; your policy has to describe what the site collects and why.
  • Quebec Law 25 adds stricter consent and transparency duties for people in Quebec, including limits on tracking that profiles visitors. Your lawyer decides the wording; we build the banner and the tag setup to match.
  • CASL, Canada's anti-spam law, covers commercial email and messages. Link-building outreach and newsletters need an identified sender, an unsubscribe and a consent basis, so we keep outreach personal and ask your counsel to confirm the basis.
  • The Competition Act bars misleading advertising, which includes fake reviews and prices that hide mandatory fees. Review markup and product prices must match what a buyer pays.

These points are planning notes, not legal advice. Check them with a Canadian lawyer before you publish policies.

What we deliver for Canadian sites

Work is grouped by the problem you have. Each link below goes to the Canada page for that service.

Working from India, and what it costs

We work remotely from Pune. Calls happen in your morning, which is evening in India: 9:00 in Toronto is 19:30 in India in winter, and 9:00 in Vancouver is 22:30. Our New York office keeps Eastern hours, so Ontario and Quebec share its clock. You get a written update after each phase and monthly reporting.

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour, in US dollars. A short call gives you a fixed quote within one working day. What moves the price: number of languages, size of the site and how much content is new. The SEO cost guide explains the ranges.

Questions, answered

Do I need a .ca domain to rank in Canada?
No. A .com with a Canadian section, hreflang en-CA, Canadian-dollar prices and local contact details can rank. If you qualify under CIRA's rules, a .ca is the simpler signal.
Do you need an office in Canada?
No. We work remotely, and the site, Search Console and analytics stay in accounts you own. We do not claim a Canadian office.
Can you handle French content for Quebec?
Yes, as part of the plan. We structure an fr-CA section, brief a French writer or work from your own copy, and test it against Quebec queries.
How long does SEO take?
Months, not weeks. Technical fixes can show in Search Console within weeks, while new content takes longer. The SEO timeline guide explains the stages.
How is progress reported?
From your own Google Search Console: impressions, clicks, queries and indexed pages, with notes on what changed and why.
