Polish language details in an app

Polish has more than one plural form. In ICU terms the categories are one, few, many and other, so a label such as number of items needs a different word for 1, for 2 to 4, and for 5 or more. Apps that use a simple singular and plural rule show wrong text. We use proper internationalization libraries and write translation files with all the forms.

Payments, stores and privacy

Polish users know BLIK, and many pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay. In-app purchases of digital goods follow Apple and Google store rules, while physical goods and services can use external payment providers. Which provider fits depends on your product, and we check the provider's mobile support before we quote.

RODO, the Polish name for GDPR, applies to app data, and UODO is the regulator. The apps need a privacy policy, careful use of analytics and advertising identifiers, consent where required, and accurate privacy answers in the App Store and Google Play listings. If the app serves an ecommerce or consumer service in the EU, the European Accessibility Act, which applies from 28 June 2025, may also apply. Check scope with your lawyer. Testing on real devices

An app that works on a developer's new phone can fail on a three-year-old Android device with a slow connection. We test on a range of screen sizes and OS versions, on mobile data as well as Wi-Fi, and with the phone set to Polish and to larger text. Offline behavior is checked where the app depends on connectivity, such as field tools used in basements or warehouses.

Before release we also check what the app asks permission for. Camera, location and notifications should be requested at the moment they are needed, with a plain explanation in Polish. Users who deny a permission should still be able to use the rest of the app. This is better for retention and matches what the stores expect in review.

After launch we watch crash reports and store reviews for the first weeks, because early problems show up there. Reviews are answered by your team in Polish, and we fix the issues behind them.
