In short

Liftup Technologies develops WordPress and WooCommerce sites for businesses in Poland, working remotely from India with calls booked in Warsaw hours. The scope covers custom themes, plugins, Polish language setup, cookie consent, payment and delivery plugins, speed and security. A short call leads to a fixed quote within one working day.

Why many Polish companies run WordPress

WordPress is open source, widely supported and available in Polish. Editors can update pages without a developer, and there is a large range of themes and plugins, including ones for Polish payment and delivery services. Many company sites, clinics, schools and shops in Poland already run on it, which means plenty of developers can maintain your site later.

The same openness is the risk. Unvetted plugins, old versions and weak hosting cause most WordPress problems: slow pages, hacked sites, broken updates. Good WordPress work is mostly careful choices.

Choices we make for a Polish WordPress site

AreaPolish considerationOur approach
LanguageWordPress ships a Polish locale, but themes and plugins may not translate every stringChoose tools with Polish files, translate the gaps, test every screen
ConsentNon-essential cookies need consent under RODO and the national rules that implement ePrivacyConsent plugin or custom banner that blocks tags until accepted
StoresBuyers expect BLIK, Przelewy24, cards and parcel locker deliveryWooCommerce with official plugins from the providers, tested with test orders
InvoicesBuyers often ask for a VAT invoice with NIPCheckout field and invoice tool integration
HostingSpeed and support language affect daily operationsRecommend EU hosting with caching, backups and staging

We prefer fewer, well-maintained plugins over many small ones. Each plugin adds update work and attack surface.

Page builders deserve a note. They speed up editing but add weight, so we use them sparingly and test the result on a mid-range phone before launch.

What we deliver

  • Custom or modified themes built for speed and editing, using blocks or a page builder your team can handle.
  • Plugins written for needs that off-the-shelf options do not meet, such as price calculators, booking logic or custom order flows.
  • WooCommerce stores with Polish payment, delivery and invoice setup.
  • Migration from another CMS or host, with redirects.
  • Security hardening and backups. See our WordPress security checklist.
  • Training and handover, then optional monthly website maintenance.

Legal and accessibility items

RODO, the Polish name for GDPR, applies to contact forms, comment fields, analytics and any embedded video or map. UODO supervises it. We help configure forms to collect only what is needed, add consent checkboxes where required, and place privacy and cookie information. Your lawyer writes the text.

If the site sells to consumers or provides a consumer service in the EU, the European Accessibility Act, in force from 28 June 2025, may apply. We build and test to WCAG 2.2 AA, covering keyboard navigation, contrast, alt text and form labels. Page builders can output messy markup, so we check the final HTML, not only the visual result.

Working schedule

Warsaw is 4.5 hours behind Pune in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer. Deployments to your live site are planned for Warsaw evenings or weekends when traffic is low, and we notify you before and after. Each project has one lead, a staging site you can click through, and a shared list of open items. For platform detail see our WordPress development service.

Polish agencies and freelancers also do strong WordPress work, often with local hosting relationships. When comparing offers, ask who handles updates and backups after launch and what is included in the price.

Maintenance after launch

A WordPress site needs regular care. Core, theme and plugin updates arrive often, and security fixes should not wait. We set up staging, run updates there first, check key pages and forms, and then update the live site. Backups run daily and are stored outside the hosting account, so a hosting failure does not take the backups with it.

Uptime and form delivery are monitored. Contact form emails fail more often than people expect, especially when messages come from a site domain without proper mail authentication. We set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC records with your mail provider so enquiries reach your inbox and not spam.

If you prefer to look after the site yourself, we hand over a short runbook: how to update, how to restore a backup, who to call. If you prefer us to do it, monthly maintenance is available at the same hourly rate.

Price

Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. A brochure site with a custom theme sits near the start. WooCommerce, custom plugins, multilingual setups and large migrations cost more. Premium plugin licenses and hosting are paid to the vendors. See the WordPress website cost guide. A fixed quote follows a short call.

Questions, answered

Can you take over an existing WordPress site?
Yes. We start with a review of the theme, plugins, versions and backups, then quote fixes or a rebuild.
Is WordPress good for an online store in Poland?
WooCommerce works well for many stores, especially with content-heavy catalogs. For fast launches and managed hosting, Shopify may suit better. We compare both before you decide.
Will my site be hacked?
No site is immune. We reduce risk with updates, limited plugins, strong logins, backups and monitoring, as listed in our checklist.
Can you add a Polish and English version?
Yes, with a multilingual plugin or separate sites, plus hreflang tags so Google serves the right language.
Who owns the site?
You do. Hosting, domain and admin accounts are in your name.
