In short

Liftup Technologies builds online stores for businesses selling in Poland, working remotely from India with calls booked in Warsaw hours. We choose between Shopify, WooCommerce and custom builds, connect Polish payment and delivery services, set up VAT-inclusive pricing and invoices, and test checkout end to end. A short call leads to a fixed quote within one working day.

Choosing a platform for a Polish store

The right platform depends on catalog size, team skills, integrations and budget. There is no single best choice, and we say so in the quote. A short comparison:

PlatformSuitsWatch for in Poland
ShopifyFast launch, hosted, apps for most needsConfirm payment providers for BLIK and Przelewy24, and check app costs
WooCommerceContent-heavy shops, flexible custom logicNeeds good hosting, updates and security; many Polish plugins exist
Custom or headless (Next.js)Complex catalogs, ERP links, unusual flowsHigher build cost; plan search and checkout carefully
Marketplace only (Allegro)Quick first salesYou rent the customer relationship; margins and rules are set by the marketplace

Many businesses combine a marketplace presence with their own store. Our pages on Shopify development and WordPress development go deeper on two of these routes.

Payments, delivery and invoices

Polish shoppers pay with BLIK, online bank transfer through services such as Przelewy24 and PayU, cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash on delivery still exists but costs sellers time. For delivery, parcel lockers and courier services are widely used, and showing a locker map at checkout can matter as much as price.

  • Payment gateway: chosen with you after checking current plan and region support, with test transactions before launch.
  • Delivery: official integrations from the carrier where available, with label printing and tracking emails.
  • Invoices: a VAT invoice request with NIP at checkout, linked to your invoicing tool. Poland's e-invoicing system KSeF is being phased in for B2B invoices, so confirm current rules with your accountant.
  • Returns: a simple form and instructions that match the 14-day withdrawal right for consumers.

Test the checkout on a phone before anything else. Most Polish online shopping happens on mobile, and BLIK works well there because shoppers type a six-digit code from their banking app. A checkout that asks for too many fields or breaks the return from the bank page loses sales quietly. We test each payment path with test orders, including a failed payment and a cancelled one, so you know what the customer sees.

Consumer law items to plan

EU consumer rules shape the store. Prices shown to consumers include VAT, which is 23% at the standard rate in Poland. Checkout must make the payment obligation clear on the final button, and the order confirmation must follow the information rules in the Consumer Rights Directive. UOKiK is the Polish authority that watches consumer practices. Terms, returns information and privacy text should come from your lawyer, and we place them in the right spots.

RODO applies to customer data, and UODO is the regulator. We set up the cookie banner and make sure marketing tags wait for consent. The European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many online stores, so checkout is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA.

Connecting to marketplaces and back office

If you sell on Allegro as well, stock levels and prices need to stay in sync, or you will oversell. Allegro offers an API, and we confirm what your account allows. The same goes for your ERP, warehouse tool and accounting system: where a public API exists, we connect it, and where one does not, we suggest a simpler path. See also AI automation for Poland for the workflow side.

For stores with a large catalog, we plan product data first: names, attributes, images, stock source and who updates them. A clean import file saves weeks later. Search and filters on the store matter too, because shoppers who use on-site search often convert at a higher rate than those who only browse. We set those up with Polish word forms in mind, so searches with different endings still find the product.

How the project runs

We start with a call on catalog, channels and logistics, then send a fixed quote. Design and build run in weekly demos on a staging site. Test orders go through the real payment and delivery flows before launch. Warsaw is 4.5 hours behind Pune in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer, so demos are booked in your morning. Price

Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. Catalog size, number of integrations, custom features and migrations move the price. Platform fees, plugin licenses and payment fees are paid to the providers. See the ecommerce website cost guide. A fixed quote follows a short call.

Questions, answered

Which platform is cheapest in Poland?
It depends on what you need. A simple Shopify store can launch quickly, while WooCommerce can cost less in subscriptions but more in upkeep. We compare total cost over two years.
Can I also sell on Allegro?
Yes. We can connect stock and prices between your store and Allegro where the API supports it.
Do I need to offer BLIK?
Many Polish buyers expect it, so it is a strong default. We check which providers support it on your platform.
Who owns the store?
You do. Platform, payment and hosting accounts are in your name.
Can you migrate my existing store?
Yes. We move products, customers where permitted and orders, and redirect old URLs to protect search traffic.
