In short

Liftup Technologies builds custom web apps for businesses in the Netherlands, working remotely from India. Typical work includes customer portals, internal tools, booking systems and early versions of software products, built with Next.js and React and hosted where you choose. You receive a fixed quote within one working day of a short call, and projects start at $1,500.

When a Dutch company needs a web app

A spreadsheet that five people edit, a customer portal run through email, a quote tool that only one employee understands: these are the usual starting points. Dutch firms in logistics, installation, healthcare, agriculture, professional services and trade often run on tools that grew by accident. A focused web app replaces the worst part first.

We prefer to begin with one workflow and build the smallest version that people will use. If the idea is a software product to sell, our MVP and SaaS work follows the same logic, with extra attention to billing and accounts.

Typical first projects are a portal where customers upload documents and track status, an internal planning board that replaces a shared spreadsheet, a quoting tool linked to price lists, and a dashboard that joins data from several systems. Each can be useful in a few weeks if the scope stays narrow.

Design choices that matter in the Netherlands

AreaDecisionDutch consideration
HostingChoose an EU region for app and databaseKeeps personal data inside the EU and simplifies the AVG answers
AuthenticationEmail login, single sign-on or magic linksBusiness customers often want SSO with their own directory
BillingCards, iDEAL, SEPA direct debitSubscriptions are often paid by incasso, which needs a mandate
InvoicesShow btw, KvK and company detailsBusiness customers need invoices that meet Dutch requirements
Roles and logsRole-based access, audit trailNeeded for processor agreements and customer audits
LanguageDutch and English interfaceStrings kept in translation files from the first screen

The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens enforces the AVG. An app that holds customer data should offer export and deletion, record who changed what, and have a processing agreement ready for business customers. Your lawyer should review the legal terms.

Security basics are part of every build: hashed passwords or single sign-on, rate limits on login, input checks, encrypted connections, and regular dependency updates. For apps with sensitive data we add two-factor login and a clear record of access. A penetration test by a specialist is worth considering before a public launch.

Our stack and how we choose it

We use Next.js and React for most web apps, with a managed database and a typed API layer. That stack is well supported, easy to hire for, and fast for users. For apps that mostly publish content, a headless CMS may fit better. For heavy data work we add a separate service. We explain each choice in plain terms and write down why, so a Dutch developer or another agency can take over later.

Accessibility is built in. The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to many consumer-facing services, and WCAG 2.2 AA is a good target for any app. We test keyboard use, form labels, focus order and contrast on every release.

We document the architecture, the data model and the deployment steps in plain language. If you later hire an in-house developer in the Netherlands, they can read the repository, run the project locally in an afternoon, and change it without us.

Phases, from idea to launch

  1. DiscoveryA short workshop on users, flows and data. The output is a list of screens and a decision on the first release.
  2. DesignClickable screens in Dutch or English, reviewed with real users.
  3. BuildTwo-week cycles with a live test environment and a demo at the end of each.
  4. LaunchData migration, monitoring, backups and a handover document.

Calls are booked in your morning. The Netherlands is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 in winter, so there is a steady overlap, and one lead owns the project.

After launch we offer a small support plan for bug fixes and small changes, or we hand everything over so your team can continue alone. Either way you receive a list of known limits and suggested next features, so the second phase starts from facts and not from guesses.

Real users change plans quickly. We therefore ask two or three of your staff or customers to try each demo and watch where they hesitate. A short list of confusing steps is worth more than a long meeting about what the interface should look like.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. A small internal tool is near the start. Multiple user roles, payments, integrations and reporting raise the price. The web app cost guide shows typical drivers, and the web app development service lists what is included. Hosting and third-party fees are paid by you directly. The overview for the country is on the Netherlands web page.

Questions, answered

Can the app be hosted in the EU?
Yes. Most cloud providers offer EU regions, and we set up the app and database there if you want.
Can you integrate with Dutch accounting software?
Where the package offers an API, yes. We confirm the integration options during the quote.
Will we get the source code?
Yes. The code, repository, hosting accounts and documentation are yours.
Can business customers pay by SEPA direct debit?
Yes, through a payment provider that supports it. Mandates and failed-payment handling need careful design, and we cover them in the plan.
How long does a first version take?
Usually a number of weeks for a focused tool. The quote states the schedule after we know the scope.
