In short

Liftup Technologies designs and builds websites, webshops, web apps and mobile apps for businesses in the Netherlands, working remotely from India. Projects start at $1,500 and are quoted at a fixed price within one working day of a short call. Builds follow Dutch expectations: iDEAL payments, btw-inclusive prices, AVG-ready forms and consent, and accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA.

What a Dutch site has to get right

A site that works in the US can still feel foreign in the Netherlands. Visitors expect a Dutch version, the KvK and btw details in the footer, and a checkout that offers iDEAL. They also expect the page to load fast on a phone.

Dutch and English on one site

Most Dutch companies serve both Dutch and international readers. The usual setup is a Dutch default with an English version beside it. Each page pair is linked with hreflang, so Google shows the right one. If you also sell to Flanders, add nl-BE as a third value rather than copying the Dutch pages. Translations are written by a native editor you approve. Machine output alone is not enough for a sales page.

A .nl domain is run through SIDN and is familiar to Dutch visitors. We can build on .nl, or on a .com with a /nl/ path. The structure should follow your market, and we explain the trade-offs before you choose.

Payments and checkout

iDEAL is the checkout method Dutch shoppers expect, and a shop without it can lose sales at the last step. Cards and Apple Pay sit beside it, and buy-now-pay-later options such as Klarna are common. The European payments industry is moving iDEAL towards Wero over time. We do not hard-code a single method. Payment providers such as Mollie, Adyen and Stripe handle the switch, and we confirm the current timeline with your provider before launch.

Delivery matters just as much. Dutch buyers look for PostNL, DHL or DPD options, pickup points and a clear delivery date. If you sell on the Bol.com marketplace too, product data should stay in one place and feed both channels.

Rules we build around

  • EU consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from most distance purchases. The shop needs the right information pages and a clear return flow.
  • Dutch webshops often join the Thuiswinkel Waarborg trust mark. It is a membership with its own conditions, so we leave space for the badge and let you decide.
  • Forms and analytics collect personal data. We add consent controls, plain wording and processor agreements where tools handle that data.
  • Check legal wording, such as terms of sale and privacy notices, with your own lawyer. We build the structure and place the text.

How a project runs remotely

  1. Short callWe learn the goal, the audience and the systems involved. Calls fit your hours, usually in the Dutch morning.
  2. Fixed quoteYou receive a scoped price within one working day.
  3. Weekly demoA working preview each week, with notes in writing.
  4. Launch and handoverYou own the code, accounts and hosting access.

The Netherlands is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India, depending on the season, which leaves a comfortable morning overlap. One lead owns your project from start to finish.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. The price moves with page count, languages, integrations and custom features. Our website cost guide shows what typically drives it, and the website cost calculator gives a quick estimate.

Questions, answered

Can you build an iDEAL checkout?
Yes. iDEAL is connected through a payment provider. The European payments sector is moving iDEAL towards Wero, so we keep the integration flexible and confirm the current plan with your provider.
Do you build in Dutch?
We structure the site for Dutch and English versions. Copy is approved by you or a native editor, and we handle the technical side, such as hreflang and language switching.
Will my site meet the European Accessibility Act?
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test with automated tools and by hand. Whether the Act applies to your business, including any microenterprise exemption, is a question for your lawyer.
Who owns the code and accounts?
You do. Domains, hosting, store accounts and repositories stay in your name from the first day.
Do you have a team in the Netherlands?
No. We work remotely from India, with calls booked in your working hours and written updates after each phase.
