In short

Liftup Technologies designs and builds business websites for companies in the Netherlands, working remotely from India. Scope covers layout, copy structure, Dutch and English versions, AVG-ready forms and consent, and accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA. After a short call you get a fixed quote within one working day, and projects start at $1,500.

Who a Dutch website serves

Dutch buyers are direct. They scan a page for what you do, what it costs and how to reach someone, and they leave if the answer is buried. Typical clients are founders, consultancies, installers, clinics, wholesalers and software firms that win work through enquiries, not through a shop basket. If you need a store, see ecommerce development instead.

A common problem is a site that was built once, in English only, with a stock template and no clear route to a quote. The fix is rarely more pages. It is a sharper first screen, proof that is real, and a form that asks for little.

What the Dutch version needs

ElementWhat visitors expectOur approach
Footer detailsCompany name, address, KvK number and btw numberA fixed footer block, filled from your registration data
Language switchA visible NL and EN toggle, not an automatic redirectSeparate URLs, linked with hreflang nl-NL and en
Prices and offersEx-btw for companies, inc-btw for consumers, said clearlyLabels next to every price, and a rate note for 21% or 9%
Contact routeA short form, an email address and an opening hours noteForm with consent text, no required fields beyond need
Trust signalsMemberships, certificates and real client logos with permissionPlaced under the main call to action, never invented
Cookie bannerA real choice to decline, not a wallConsent tool set up so non-essential tags wait for a yes

Dutch law expects business sites to show certain company details. Check the exact list with your lawyer, then we place it.

Copy is half of design. Dutch business writing is plain and to the point, so we avoid long brand statements and put the offer, the price logic and the next step near the top. Pages that explain how you work, what a project costs and how long it takes tend to earn more enquiries than pages with only slogans.

Accessibility is now part of the brief

The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to a range of consumer-facing products and services, including many online shops and booking services. Some micro-enterprises providing services are exempt, and a business-to-business marketing site may fall outside it. Your lawyer should decide whether it applies to you.

Either way, WCAG 2.2 AA is a sound build target. That means enough colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, labelled form fields, descriptive link text and no content that traps a screen reader. We check with automated tools and then by hand. Our WCAG 2.2 checklist shows the items we test.

Speed, search and the Dutch phone

Most Dutch visitors arrive on a phone, often on good 4G or 5G. They still leave slow pages. We keep images sized, fonts limited, scripts few, and measure with the Core Web Vitals check before launch. Titles and headings use the words Dutch searchers type, such as website laten maken or webdesign bureau, once Search Console data confirms them.

For rankings across languages, see SEO in the Netherlands. A site built with clean URLs and structured data from day one needs less repair later.

We also set up measurement that respects consent: Search Console for search data, and an analytics setup that records the form submissions you actually care about. If a share of visitors declines tracking, your reports will undercount, and we tell you that in plain words.

How the project runs remotely

  1. Short callWe agree goals, pages and what you already have. Calls sit in your morning, when Pune is in its afternoon.
  2. Fixed quoteA written scope and price within one working day.
  3. Design and demoA clickable design in week one or two, then a working build with weekly demos.
  4. LaunchRedirects, forms, consent and tracking checked, then handover of all logins.

The Netherlands is 3.5 hours behind India in summer and 4.5 hours in winter, so the overlap is steady all year. One lead handles your project and your questions.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. A five-page site with a Dutch and English version sits at the lower end of the range; custom features, bookings or integrations raise it. See the website cost guide for the usual drivers, and the full website design service for what is included.

Questions, answered

Can you build the site in Dutch and English?
Yes. We build both versions with hreflang and a language switch. You or a native editor approve the Dutch copy, and we handle the structure.
Do I need a .nl domain?
Not required, but .nl is familiar to Dutch visitors and run through the SIDN registry. We can build on .nl or on your existing .com, and explain the trade-off first.
How long does a business site take?
A typical site takes several weeks, depending on page count and how fast feedback comes back. We confirm a schedule in the quote.
Will the site comply with the AVG?
We build the technical side: consent, forms with clear wording, and processor agreements where tools handle data. Legal texts should be reviewed by your lawyer.
Who owns the site?
You do, including the domain, hosting access and source files.
