In short

Liftup Technologies redesigns websites for businesses in Poland, working remotely from India with calls booked in Warsaw hours. Before any design starts we record what ranks and converts today, then rebuild the site with a redirect map, accessibility fixes for the European Accessibility Act and tidy RODO consent. A short call leads to a fixed quote within one working day.

Why redesigns lose traffic and how to avoid it

The common failure is not the design itself. It is changed addresses without redirects, pages quietly removed, titles rewritten and text thinned out. A site can look better and lose half its search traffic in a month. The safe approach starts with a record of what the old site does well and keeps it.

Redesign is also the right moment to fix known problems: slow mobile pages, confusing navigation, forms that do not work and missing accessibility basics. Our general service is described on the website redesign page.

Set goals before looking at layouts. A redesign for more enquiries needs different pages from a redesign to support an online store or recruit staff. We write the goals down, agree how each will be measured, and judge the new site against them after launch. That makes it easy to see whether the project worked and what to improve next.

Protecting search traffic

StepWhat we doWhy it matters
InventoryList every URL with traffic, links and enquiriesShows what must not break
URL mapMatch each old URL to a new oneKeeps rankings and links working
301 redirectsOne redirect per old URL, no chains, including diacritic and trailing-slash variantsPasses signals to the new pages
Content checkKeep the text that ranks, improve rather than deleteAvoids thinning pages
Staging testCrawl the new site, test redirects and robots rulesCatches mistakes before they go live

Polish URLs may contain letters such as ą, ę, ł or ż, which appear percent-encoded in some systems. If the old site used them, the redirect map must cover both the readable and encoded forms. Use our website migration checklist and website redesign checklist as a starting point.

Design, accessibility and legal items

The European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many online stores and consumer services in the EU. It has an exemption for some micro-enterprises, and details depend on your business, so check with your lawyer. Even where it does not apply, accessible design helps all users, so we build to WCAG 2.2 AA: contrast, keyboard use, labels, focus states and readable text.

RODO, the Polish name for GDPR, applies to forms, analytics and embedded content. A redesign often changes which scripts run, so we rebuild the cookie banner, check that tags wait for consent and update the privacy notice links. UODO is the regulator. For stores, the EU 14-day withdrawal right and VAT-inclusive pricing remain visible in the new checkout.

Performance is part of design. We set a budget for page weight and speed from the start, choose fonts and images with that in mind, and test on a mid-range phone over a mobile connection, which is how many visitors in Poland will see the site. A beautiful page that takes six seconds to load loses visitors before they read a word.

Language and content

Polish pages should read naturally. We keep your existing Polish copy where it works, and edit with a native reader on your side. If you want English or German versions for export customers, we add them with hreflang so search engines show the right one. Fonts must support Polish characters in every weight you use, which is easy to miss and visible immediately if wrong.

How the project runs

  1. Audit and goalsWhat works now, what does not, and what the new site must achieve.
  2. Structure and wireframesPage types, navigation and key journeys.
  3. DesignMobile-first layouts you approve before build.
  4. Build on stagingA private site you can click through.
  5. Pre-launch testsRedirects, forms, speed, accessibility and tracking.
  6. Launch and monitorGo live at a quiet hour and watch results closely.

Warsaw is 4.5 hours behind Pune in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer. Launch is timed for a Warsaw evening or weekend. Polish web studios and freelancers are good local options, particularly for in-person workshops; we offer remote delivery with a fixed quote. If your site runs on WordPress or Shopify, see WordPress development for Poland or Shopify development for Poland.

Price

Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. The price depends on number of page types, content volume, languages and platform. A small brochure site sits near the start; a large catalog costs more. See the website redesign cost guide. A fixed quote follows a short call.

Questions, answered

Will I lose my Google rankings?
Some movement is normal for a few weeks. A careful URL map, redirects and content retention keep losses small, and we monitor after launch.
Can you keep my current domain and hosting?
Yes. We can rebuild on your current platform or move to a new one if it makes sense.
How long does a redesign take?
A small site often takes several weeks. Larger sites with many pages or stores take longer. The quote lists the timeline.
Do I have to rewrite all the text?
No. We keep what ranks and converts and improve the rest.
Will the new site meet accessibility rules?
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test it. Whether the European Accessibility Act applies to you depends on your business, so confirm with your lawyer.
