In short
Liftup Technologies designs websites for Spanish businesses, working remotely from India. Each project covers page design, Spanish copy layout, mobile speed, the aviso legal and privacy pages, cookie consent and accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA. You review designs weekly on a staging link. Projects start at $1,500, and a fixed quote follows a short call.
The problem with a generic template in Spain
Many Spanish small-business sites are a template with the English removed. The trust details are missing, the copy was translated word for word, and the legal pages are copied from another company. Visitors notice, and so does a regulator if the cookie banner does not match what the site actually loads.
A better site starts with who is looking. A patient booking a dentist in Sevilla wants a phone number, opening hours and a map. A buyer comparing three gestorías wants fees and a clear next step. Design follows that.
The aim of this page is to show what we change for Spain, so you can judge whether a quote covers it. Most of it is small. Together it is the difference between a site that feels local and one that feels imported.
What a Spanish service site should contain
| Page or element | Why it matters in Spain | Our default |
|---|---|---|
| Aviso legal | LSSI-CE expects the business identity to be easy to find | Footer link on every page, filled with your name, address and NIF or CIF |
| Política de privacidad | GDPR and LOPDGDD, supervised by the AEPD | Plain Spanish page that names each form and tool |
| Política de cookies | Non-essential cookies need consent first | Banner with equal accept and reject buttons |
| WhatsApp and phone button | Many Spanish customers prefer a message or call to a form | Sticky button on mobile, tracked as an event |
| Opening hours with the midday break | Many Spanish businesses close from about 14:00 to 16:00 | Hours shown in schema and on the contact page |
| Language switch | Catalan, Basque or Galician where customers use them | Folder per language with hreflang |
A business that sells to consumers online also needs the pre-contract information that Spanish consumer law requires. We cover that in ecommerce development; a brochure site does not need it.
Add the pages that win business: services with prices or price ranges where you can give them, team profiles with professional registration numbers if your trade has them, and a short FAQ in the words customers actually use. For doctors, lawyers and accountants, a visible professional body number (colegiado) is a trust signal. Include it only if it is accurate.
Design choices that suit Spanish copy
Spanish text usually runs longer than English, often by a fifth or more, so buttons, menus and cards must allow for it. Headings with accents and the opening ¿ and ¡ marks need a typeface that supports them cleanly. We test the design with the real Spanish copy, not lorem ipsum.
- One voice for the whole site: tú for informal brands, usted for professional ones, never mixed.
- Dates in day-month-year order and 24-hour times.
- Prices written with a comma for decimals and the euro sign after the number, for example 49,90 €.
- Phone numbers in international format, with +34.
Mobile comes first. Most Spanish visits to a local business site come from a phone, often from a map result or a WhatsApp link. We keep the first screen light, compress images, and avoid carousels that delay the main message. The aim is a page that loads and answers the visitor on a normal mobile connection.

Get my fixed quoteAccessibility is now a design requirement
The European Accessibility Act applies from 28 June 2025 to many online shops and consumer services in the EU, and Spain has transposed it into national law. Some very small service businesses are exempt, so ask your lawyer. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA anyway: colour contrast, focus states, form labels, keyboard use and readable text. Our WCAG 2.2 checklist shows what we test.
How the project runs from India
- BriefA short call on audience, pages and examples you like. Fixed quote within one working day.
- Wireframes and designHome page and one inner page first, then the rest once you approve the direction.
- BuildOn WordPress, Webflow or Next.js, depending on who will edit the site.
- TestMobile speed, accessibility, cookie behavior and form delivery.
- Launch and handoverDomain switch, redirects from old URLs, and a recorded walkthrough.
Spain is three and a half hours behind India in summer and four and a half in winter. We hold design reviews in your morning, ahead of the midday break.
Price
Projects start at $1,500, and extra work is $30 an hour. Page count, languages and custom features move the price most. The website cost guide explains the drivers. For the full web offer, see web development for Spain, and for a quote, use the contact page. Prices are in US dollars.
