In short

Liftup Technologies builds SaaS products for Danish founders and product teams, working remotely from India. We cut the idea to a first release, design a multi-tenant data model, add subscription billing, roles and admin tools, and build GDPR export and deletion into the product. You own the code and accounts. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

Scope the first release

A first release proves one thing: that a defined customer will use and pay for one workflow. Everything else waits. We run a short scoping session to write the customer, the problem, the three journeys that matter and the things you will not build yet. Typical exclusions at this stage are custom reporting, native mobile apps, complex permission trees and marketplace features.

Our SaaS MVP cost guide shows what different scopes tend to cost, and the SaaS development service page describes our process.

What goes into the core

Building blockWhat we buildDanish angle
Accounts and teamsSign-up, invitations, roles, single sign-on if neededMitID is rare for B2B SaaS; Microsoft and Google sign-in are more common
Multi-tenancyCustomer data separated by account in the databaseNeeded for clean GDPR export and deletion
BillingSubscriptions, trials, invoices, tax handling through a payment providerPrices in DKK or EUR; moms of 25 percent on domestic sales; EU reverse charge for B2B in other states
Admin and supportBack-office views, impersonation with logging, audit trailDatatilsynet expects accountability for access to personal data
Product analyticsEvent tracking for activation and retentionBehind consent, or privacy-friendly and cookieless
LanguagesDanish and English strings in translation filesDates, number formats and kr. amounts tested

The tax rules for digital services are specialist territory. A payment provider that handles tax calculation helps, and your accountant should confirm your setup, including registration.

GDPR and security from day one

As a SaaS provider you are usually a processor for your customers, who are the controllers. Danish and EU customers will ask for a data processing agreement, a sub-processor list, details of hosting location, and your security practices. It is far easier to design for those questions than to answer them later. We build encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, logged admin actions, backups with tested restores, and tools to export or erase a customer's data.

Hosting in an EU region is standard on the major clouds. India has no EU adequacy decision, so our access to production personal data rests on standard contractual clauses and a transfer assessment; day to day we work with synthetic data. If you aim at enterprise buyers, we can plan for ISO 27001 or SOC 2 evidence, though the certification itself is a company process.

Choosing the stack

We usually build with Next.js or React on the front end, a Node or Python back end, and a managed Postgres database, with hosting and payments through providers you can switch later. The aim is a stack that a Danish hire can pick up in a week. We avoid exotic tools. If you already have a team or a preferred framework, we follow it and write the work as pull requests to your repository.

  • Code in your repository from day one.
  • Automated tests on billing, permissions and data export.
  • Environments for development, staging and production.
  • Short written docs so a new developer can run the project.

If your product is closer to an internal portal than a subscription product, see web app development.

Working with a founder in Denmark

  1. ScopeA call and a written scope. A fixed quote within one working day.
  2. PrototypeClickable screens in two weeks for customer feedback.
  3. Build in sprintsTwo-week sprints with a demo each time on a staging link.
  4. Private betaA handful of customers use it, with fast fixes.
  5. LaunchBilling live, monitoring on, support routine agreed.

Calls fall between 09:00 and 14:30 Danish time in winter, or 15:30 in summer. Founders can add us to Slack and see progress daily.

After launch

A SaaS product is never finished at release. The first months are about watching real use: which customers sign up, who reaches the first useful result, who leaves and why. We set up simple dashboards for activation, retention and revenue, error monitoring with alerts, and a weekly review of support questions. Fixes and small improvements go through the same sprint routine as the build, and we can stay on hourly or monthly support.

  • Uptime and error alerts sent to a channel you read.
  • Backups with a restore test every quarter.
  • A changelog customers can see, in Danish and English.
  • A short list of next features ranked by customer evidence, not by guesswork.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, with extra hours at $30. A narrow first release with one workflow is near the lower end. Integrations, complex permissions, reporting and AI features raise the scope. SaaS also needs ongoing search visibility, which our SaaS SEO service for Denmark covers.

Questions, answered

How long does a SaaS MVP take?
Many narrow MVPs take roughly two to four months. The fixed quote includes a schedule based on your scope.
Will we own the code?
Yes. The repository, cloud accounts and keys are in your name from the start.
Can you add AI features?
Yes, using OpenAI or Anthropic models with clear data handling. We scope that as its own item.
Do we need MitID?
Rarely for business tools. It is relevant for products serving Danish citizens or public bodies.
Can you take over an existing product?
Yes, after a short code review. We tell you what is solid and what needs work.
