In short

Liftup Technologies builds SaaS products for Irish founders and software companies, working remotely from India. We scope an MVP, design multi-tenant architecture, build the app, billing and admin tools, host in an EU region such as Dublin, and prepare the privacy and security documentation buyers request. We work on your repository and cloud account. A fixed quote follows a short call.

From idea to a first paying customer

Many Irish founders come from enterprise or consulting backgrounds and know the problem well. The risk is building too much before anyone pays. We help cut the first release to what lets a real customer complete the job, and defer everything else.

Our SaaS MVP cost guide gives budget bands, and the SaaS development service page lists what is included.

Pricing and packaging deserve the same attention as features. Decide early whether you charge per seat, per usage or per plan, because that choice shapes the data model and the billing code.

Architecture choices that affect Irish and EU sales

Decisions made in month one show up in procurement questionnaires in year two. We make the following choices early, and write them down.

  • Tenant separation: each customer's data is isolated by design, with tests that prove one tenant cannot see another's.
  • Hosting region: Dublin or another EU region for customer data, with backups in the EU, and a list of sub-processors you can share.
  • Data deletion: when a customer leaves, their data can be exported and removed on a schedule.
  • Audit logging: who did what and when, visible to customer admins.
  • Secure development: dependency checks, code review, secrets kept out of code and regular backups with a restore test.

GDPR is enforced in Ireland by the Data Protection Commission, which is the lead authority for many global technology companies with their EU base in Dublin. As a SaaS provider you are usually a processor for your customers' data, so you need a data processing agreement, a sub-processor list and a way to help customers answer data subject requests. If your customers are banks or insurers, expect questions linked to the Digital Operational Resilience Act, in effect since 17 January 2025. We do not give legal advice, but we build the features that make those answers easy.

Billing, VAT and invoices

Billing is where many SaaS products collect hidden work. We use Stripe or a similar provider for cards and SEPA Direct Debit, with plans, trials, upgrades, proration and failed-payment retries. Tax is the harder part. Irish VAT is 23 percent at the standard rate. Sales to businesses in other EU states are normally handled with the reverse charge, while sales to consumers in other member states can fall under the One Stop Shop scheme. Rules for digital services differ from goods, so your accountant should confirm your position. We build the product to collect customer VAT numbers, validate them and print the right details on invoices.

Currency also needs a decision. Many Irish SaaS firms price in euro for Europe and dollars or sterling for other markets. We store the price per currency rather than converting at checkout, which keeps invoices predictable.

How we work with founders

  1. ScopeA user story map, a data model and a list of what will not be in version one.
  2. Build in short cyclesA usable build every two weeks, deployed to a staging environment you can test.
  3. Launch with a pilotA few real customers on the product, with analytics and an error monitor in place.
  4. Hand over or continueDocumentation and a code walkthrough, or a retained block of hours.

We can work alongside your in-house engineers or act as the full build team. India is 5.5 hours ahead of Ireland in winter and 4.5 hours ahead in summer, so stand-ups sit in your morning. Many Irish founders also look at funding. Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices run supports for early-stage companies, and eligibility rules apply, so check current conditions, including any limits on who may supply development work.

Price and ownership

Projects start at $1,500, with extra hours at $30. A narrow prototype sits near the start, and a full MVP with billing, roles and integrations costs more. Quotes are fixed and in US dollars, with milestones. You own the code, the repository and the cloud accounts from day one. If you want the product to be found, our SaaS SEO page for Irish companies explains how we plan search, and Irish web app development covers internal tools.

Questions, answered

Which stack do you recommend?
Usually Next.js or React with a Node or Python back end and PostgreSQL. We pick tools your next hire can maintain.
Can you build only the MVP?

Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before we see your idea. We also assign all intellectual property to you in the contract.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes, after a short code review. We report what needs fixing before quoting further work.
