In short

Liftup Technologies develops SaaS products for US startups and companies, working remotely from India with an office in New York. We scope a first version, build multi-tenant accounts, roles, Stripe billing and an admin area, set up the security basics buyers ask for and ship in weekly demos. You own the code and accounts. A fixed quote follows a short call.

What a first version needs, and what can wait

Founders often try to build the whole product before a single customer pays. We would rather cut the first release to the smallest piece that a real buyer will pay for, then add features in the order that customers ask for them. The list below is the split we use in the scoping call.

Build nowBuild when customers askWhy
Sign-up, login, teams and rolesSingle sign-on with SAMLSmall buyers use email and Google login; larger accounts ask for SSO later
Stripe subscriptions and invoicesUsage-based metering and custom contractsSimple plans let you start charging early
Core workflow that solves one problemAdvanced reports, many integrationsDepth in one workflow sells better than breadth
Audit log of key actionsCustomer-facing audit exportsNeeded internally and in security questionnaires
Admin tool for your teamSelf-serve admin for customersLets your team fix issues without database access

Our SaaS development page lists the deliverables. If you want to test the idea first, see MVP development and the SaaS MVP cost guide.

Billing for US customers

Stripe Billing covers monthly and annual plans, free trials, coupons, failed-payment retries and customer receipts. US business buyers often want to pay by ACH debit or by invoice on net terms, so we plan for both. Sales tax on software varies by state: some states tax SaaS and others do not, and economic nexus rules mean you may owe tax in states where you have customers, not just where you operate. Stripe Tax or a similar service can calculate and collect once your accountant confirms where you are registered. We connect it and keep tax rules out of your own code, because they change.

Pricing page design matters too. We build the page, plan comparison and upgrade flow so that finance buyers can read the terms and find the cancellation path, in line with state auto-renewal rules that your lawyer can confirm.

Security groundwork that buyers ask about

US business customers send security questionnaires early in a deal, and many ask whether you have, or are working towards, a SOC 2 report. A SOC 2 report comes from an independent auditor and depends on your company's processes, not just the code. What we can do on the product side is build in the things auditors and questionnaires look for, so you are not rebuilding later.

  • Tenant isolation, so one customer's data cannot appear in another's account.
  • Role-based access, with an audit log of sensitive actions.
  • Encryption in transit and at rest on a major cloud provider, using a US region unless you choose otherwise.
  • Automated backups with a tested restore.
  • Separate development, staging and production environments, with changes reviewed before release.
  • Data export and deletion tools, which also help with state privacy rights such as those under CCPA.

Accessibility counts as well: US enterprise and public-sector buyers may ask for a VPAT-style statement, so we build to WCAG 2.2 AA from the start. Our web app development page for the US covers the shared foundations.

Selling it: from build to first customers

Software sold in the US is often compared on review sites and in side-by-side lists, and buyers expect a clear pricing page, a free trial or a demo, and documentation. We build the marketing site, sign-up flow and onboarding emails alongside the product, and set up product analytics so that you can see where new users stop. When you are ready to be found in search, the US SaaS SEO page describes what we do next. Founders sometimes ask about launch timing: many US business buyers plan budgets in autumn and early in the year, so a product that is ready for demos then is easier to pilot, though this varies by sector.

How the build runs, and the price

  1. ScopeTwo calls and a written spec of users, the one core workflow, plans and integrations. You approve scope and price.
  2. FoundationsAccounts, teams, billing, deployment pipeline and monitoring are live in the first sprint.
  3. Core workflowWeekly demos of the feature customers pay for, with feedback tracked in one list.
  4. Harden and launchSecurity review, load checks, backups tested and a soft launch with pilot customers.
  5. IterateChanges billed at $30 an hour or covered by a support block, guided by what pilots tell you.

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. A narrow first version costs far less than a full platform; the quote depends on the number of user roles, integrations, reports and regulatory needs. A fixed price follows a short call within one working day. Weekly demos suit US mornings: 10:00 a.m. Eastern is 20:30 in India in winter. The US web pillar has the wider context.

Questions, answered

Can you take over an existing SaaS codebase?
Yes. We start with a short review of the code, tests, hosting and security basics, and report what to keep, fix or rewrite before quoting further work.
Which stack do you use?
Usually Next.js and React with a managed Postgres database and a major cloud host. We adapt when your team already maintains another stack.
Will you get us SOC 2 certified?
No. SOC 2 is an audit by an independent firm and covers your company's policies as well as the code. We build the technical controls and document them so that an auditor has less to ask for.
Can the product support enterprise SSO?
Yes. We add SAML or OIDC single sign-on when a customer needs it, usually through an auth provider, and it is quoted as a separate item.
Who owns the code and accounts?
You do. The repository, cloud, Stripe and domain accounts are in your name, and we receive collaborator access that you can remove.
