In short

Liftup Technologies builds SaaS products for Swedish startups and companies, working remotely from India. We scope a first release, design the data model for multiple customers, add sign-in, roles and billing, host in the EU, and document everything for your team. A fixed quote follows a short call, and the code and cloud accounts are yours from day one.

Start with a release that can be sold

Most failed SaaS projects try to build the whole product first. We prefer a first release that one type of customer can pay for: one workflow, one user role, simple billing. Everything else waits until real usage shows what to build next.

A one-week scoping sprint produces the user flows, the data model, a clickable prototype and a fixed quote for the first release. Our SaaS development service describes the full path, and the MVP development page covers the smaller first step. The SaaS MVP cost guide shows what drives the budget.

Pick the first customer type with care. A product for accounting firms, clinics or property managers has different needs from one for consumers, and Swedish buyers in each group have their own tools and habits. Talk to five of them before the sprint ends; their answers will cut more scope than any workshop.

Building blocks of a SaaS product

BlockWhat it includesSwedish point
Accounts and sign-inEmail login, SSO for companies, roles and invitesBankID can be added for products that need strong identity, usually through an identity provider that supports it
Multi-tenancyCustomer separation in the database, per-customer settings, audit trailBusiness customers ask where their data sits and who can read it
BillingPlans, trials, invoices, card payments, dunningPrices in SEK with moms for consumers; B2B invoices show the customer's VAT details; Swedish customers often expect invoice payment
Admin and supportUser management, impersonation with logs, usage viewsLog who accessed customer data and why
IntegrationsAPI, webhooks, import and exportAccounting links to Fortnox or Visma are common asks
OperationsBackups, monitoring, staging, deployment pipelineHosting in an EU region, with the provider named in your privacy policy

We usually build on Next.js or a similar framework with PostgreSQL, and we choose managed services so that your small team does not run servers. If you already have a stack, we follow it.

GDPR, security and procurement

Swedish companies, public bodies and larger customers will ask about security before they sign. Prepare for those questions from the start. GDPR applies to the personal data you handle, and as a SaaS provider you are usually a data processor for your customers, so you need a data processing agreement, a list of sub-processors and a way to delete or export a customer's data on request. IMY is the Swedish supervisory authority. Your lawyer should write the agreements.

  • Hosting: choose an EU region and document transfers outside the EU, if any, including analytics and email tools.
  • Access: single sign-on, role-based permissions, and logs of administrator actions.
  • Data: encryption in transit and at rest, daily backups, and a tested restore.
  • Development: code review, dependency scanning, and separate staging data that contains no real personal data.
  • Accessibility: the European Accessibility Act covers some consumer-facing services from 28 June 2025, so build forms and flows with WCAG 2.2 in mind.

Keep a short security page on your site with hosting region, backup routine, sub-processors and a contact for questions. It shortens procurement and shows you have thought about it.

Marketing the product in Sweden

A product is only half of the launch. Early customers usually come from your network, a small number of targeted outreach messages and a clear landing page. We can build the site and basic SEO in the same project. Our SaaS SEO page for Sweden describes the search side, and the Swedish and English versions of the product pages should be planned from the start.

Pricing pages work better with a visible price in SEK and a clear statement of what moms is applied to. Swedish buyers like predictable costs and low-friction trials.

Process, team and price

We work in two-week cycles with a demo at the end of each. You get a staging link, a shared board and a named lead. Calls happen in the Swedish morning, 12:30 or 13:30 Pune time. After launch we can continue on a monthly retainer or hand over to your team with documentation and a walkthrough.

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour. A focused MVP is a project of several weeks, while a full multi-tenant product with billing and integrations takes longer and costs more. You own the code, the repositories and the cloud accounts. For the wider web work we do in Sweden, see our Sweden web page.

Questions, answered

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?
Usually six to twelve weeks after the scoping sprint, depending on the number of workflows and integrations.
Can the product support BankID?
Yes, through an identity provider that offers BankID. It adds cost and contracts, so we add it only where users truly need strong identity.
Where is the data hosted?
In an EU region of a major cloud provider, chosen with you and named in your privacy policy and your list of sub-processors.
Do we get the source code?
Yes. Repositories, cloud accounts and documentation are in your name from the first day.
Can you take over an existing product?
Yes. We start with a short code and architecture review, then quote fixes, upgrades or new features.
