Webflow pricing

How much does a Webflow website cost in 2026?

Webflow shifts cost from code to design and content structure. Knowing that split helps you compare a Webflow quote with a WordPress one.

In short

Clutch reports web projects typically under $10,000, with an average of $66,499. Most Webflow marketing sites sit in the typical band. Design depth, the number of CMS collections, animations and migrations set the price. Webflow's hosting and seat fees are paid to Webflow and sit outside the agency quote.

Where the money goes in a Webflow build

In Webflow the visual build and the front-end code are one activity. A designer or developer builds the layout visually, and Webflow generates the code. That removes some traditional development work, but it does not remove thinking time. The effort moves to design, structure and content.

Market data and what it means for Webflow

The Clutch guide gives a typical range of under $10,000 for web projects and an average of $66,499. It does not break out Webflow. A brochure or marketing site built in Webflow is usually in the typical band, and larger programs with many collections and integrations rise from there. These are market figures, not our prices.

What you pay Webflow directly

Webflow bills hosting plans and workspace seats on its own site. Prices change, so check its pricing page when you budget. Treat them as a recurring cost like any hosting fee. The agency quote covers the build, not the plan.

  • Site hosting plan, billed to the account holder.
  • Workspace seats for people who edit or design.
  • Optional extras such as site search, localization or form storage.
  • Third-party tools you connect, such as email platforms or analytics.

Make sure the Webflow account is created in your name or your company's name, with the agency invited as a collaborator.

CMS structure is the hidden variable

A Webflow CMS collection is a structured list: blog posts, case studies, team members, locations. Each collection has fields, a template and often filters. A site with a single blog collection is simple. A site with eight collections that reference each other, with filtered listings and conditional layouts, is a bigger job.

Ask for the collection list in the proposal. For each one: its fields, how many items you will import, and which templates display it. This is the clearest predictor of build effort after page design.

Webflow or WordPress on cost

Cost areaWebflowWordPress
BuildDesign-led, less custom codeTheme or custom theme plus plugins
HostingManaged plan from WebflowYour choice of host; varies
Security upkeepHandled by platformUpdates and hardening are yours
Plugins and extrasFewer options, mostly built inLarge plugin ecosystem, each with upkeep
Editor experienceVisual editing for non-developersFamiliar dashboard, varies by build

Neither is always cheaper. Webflow often costs less to maintain for marketing sites. WordPress can cost less when you need a feature a plugin already provides. Our Webflow vs WordPress comparison covers the details, and the Webflow development service page covers the build.

Moving an existing site

  1. Crawl the old siteList every URL, title and redirect. This is the base for your migration.
  2. Decide what movesNot every page deserves to come across. Merge or retire thin ones.
  3. Rebuild templatesEach page type becomes a Webflow template or CMS collection.
  4. Import contentCSV import covers many collections. Rich content often needs manual cleanup.
  5. Redirect and checkMap old URLs to new ones and test before the switch. See WordPress to Webflow migration.

Questions, answered

Is Webflow cheaper than WordPress?
It depends on the site. Webflow often reduces ongoing security and plugin upkeep. WordPress can be cheaper where an existing plugin covers a feature you need. Compare the build, the hosting and three years of upkeep.
Can I edit a Webflow site myself?
Yes. Text, images and CMS items can be edited without code. Layout changes need more care, and a handover session with the agency makes sure your team knows the limits.
Do I need an agency or can I use a template?
Webflow templates are an affordable start for simple sites. An agency adds value when you need a custom design, a structured CMS or a migration with search traffic to protect.
Does Webflow handle ecommerce?
Webflow has an ecommerce feature suitable for small catalogs. Larger or more complex stores are often better served on Shopify. See our ecommerce website cost page.
What happens if I leave Webflow?
You can export the front-end code, but the CMS and hosting features do not come with it. Moving away means rebuilding those parts, so factor that into a long-term view.
