Link building

Link building services built on outreach you can read

We earn links from real sites for reasons a human editor would accept, and we show you every one in a ledger.

In short

Link building earns links to your website from other relevant sites, which signals trust to search engines. Liftup builds a prospect list, creates something worth linking to, contacts real editors and site owners one by one, and logs each placement with its page, anchor and quality notes. We do not buy links from networks, farms or private blog networks.

What links do, and what they cannot do

Search engines treat a link from one site to another as a vote of confidence, and links remain one of the signals that help pages rank. Links cannot rescue a page that is slow, thin or answering the wrong question. That is why our SEO work begins with technical fixes and content, and why we sometimes tell a client to wait on links.

They also work slowly. A single good link can matter more than twenty weak ones, and a pattern of paid or exchanged links can invite a penalty. We aim for few links that a visitor might click.

How we score a link before we pursue it

Every prospect goes through the same check. Nothing passes on a metric from a third-party tool alone, since those scores are estimates.

QuestionPassFail
Does the site cover a topic near yours?Industry, local or audience matchGeneral-purpose posts on every subject
Does it have real readers?Active pages, comments, social shares, search impressionsNo visible audience
Would the link sit in useful context?Inside an article or resource, relevant to the sentenceFooter, sidebar or a page of unrelated links
Does it sell links? No pricing page, no 'sponsored post' offers to anyoneAdvertises guest posts for a fee to all
Is it indexed and ranking for anything?Yes, for its own name and topicsDeindexed or ranks for nothing
Would you accept this link if search engines did not exist?Yes: it sends relevant visitorsNo

A site that fails two or more is dropped. We keep the dropped list too, so you can see what we declined.

How we work

  1. Review your current linksUsing your Google Search Console links report and a backlink tool, we find what you have, what is toxic, and which pages attract links already.
  2. Choose the targetsPages that matter commercially and can honestly be linked to. Often a service page is not linkable, so we pair it with a resource page that is.
  3. Create a linkable assetA data summary from your own business, a calculator, a local guide or an explainer that is better than what already exists.
  4. Build the prospect listEditors, association pages, supplier and partner pages, local organizations, trade media and writers who covered the topic before.
  5. Personal outreachShort messages written for each recipient, from a named person, with a reason to link. We follow up once and stop.
  6. Log and verifyEach live link is checked for status, nofollow or sponsored tags, anchor text and indexing.

What we will not do

  • Buy links from marketplaces, link farms or private blog networks
  • Run reciprocal link exchanges at scale
  • Use exact-match keyword anchors on every link
  • Place guest posts on sites whose only purpose is selling guest posts
  • Post fake comments or fake reviews to get a link
  • Edit reference sites about your own company

Sponsorships and advertorials can be legitimate when labeled with the right rel attribute. We tell you when a placement is paid and mark it as such.

What the ledger looks like

At the end of each month you get a table with these columns. The row is an example of the format, not a result.

Date liveLinking pageYour pageAnchorTypeStatus
ExampleRegional trade association member pageResource guideBrand nameEditorial, earnedLive, indexed

You can open every linking page yourself. If a link disappears, we try to restore it and note the outcome.

Timeline and who this suits

As a planning estimate, the first month goes to review, targets and the asset. Outreach starts in month two. Links arrive unevenly, and a sensible first checkpoint is month four, by which time the pattern of replies shows whether the angle works. Rankings respond later still, and only if the pages are ready.

It suits businesses with at least a sound site and content worth linking to: services, ecommerce brands with a story, software, and local firms with community ties. It suits poorly a site with technical problems or a thin offer.

Reporting, related work and quote

Reporting combines the ledger with the Google Search Console data for the linked pages: impressions, clicks and positions before and after. We do not present Domain Rating or similar scores as results, because they measure the tool's model, not your business.

We have no published link-building case study, so there is none to cite here. For the websites behind the assets, see our work. The cost depends on how hard the niche is, and you get a fixed quote after a short call through contact.

Questions, answered

How many links will you build a month?
It varies with the niche and the assets we have. We set a target range in the quote and report actual placements, never padding the number with weak links.
Are guest posts allowed?
Yes, on real publications with real readers, written to be useful. We avoid sites that publish anything for a fee.
Should links be nofollow or dofollow?
A natural profile contains both. Sponsored and user-generated links should carry the right attribute. We do not chase one type.
What if a competitor has thousands of links?
Raw counts mislead because many are low quality. We compare the sites that link to the competitor and look for the ones we can honestly earn.
Can you remove bad links?
We can review them. Google says it mostly ignores spammy links, so we disavow only for clear manipulation, such as a past link scheme.

Ask for a link review first

We will look at your current links and tell you after a short call whether building more is the right next step.
