In short

Liftup Technologies provides link building for Australian businesses, working remotely from India. We find link-worthy assets on your site, research relevant Australian publishers, associations and suppliers, run personal outreach, and report each link earned. We do not buy links or use networks. A fixed quote follows a short call within one working day.

What good links look like in Australia

A useful link comes from a real site, on a relevant page, read by people who might become customers. For an Australian business, that often means industry associations, local news and community sites, supplier and partner pages, university or council pages, and trade publications. A link from a .com.au site with a real audience tends to be worth more than many links from unrelated directories.

Google has said that buying links to influence rankings goes against its spam policies. We therefore do not buy links, join link exchanges or use private blog networks. Our guide to buying quality backlinks explains the risks in more detail.

Methods we use

MethodHow it worksSuits
Digital PROriginal data or commentary offered to journalists and editorsBrands with something new to say
Resource pagesUseful guides or tools offered to pages that list resourcesTrades, health, finance, education
Supplier and partner linksAsking people you already work with to link to youLocal firms with real relationships
Associations and sponsorshipMemberships and events that earn a listing or mentionProfessional services, B2B
Broken link replacementOffer your page where a linked page has disappearedSites with strong content
Citations and profilesConsistent Australian directory entriesLocal and service-area businesses

Directory citations help local trust but do not replace earned links. For a local firm, our local SEO checklist covers the basics, and the link building service page describes the full scope.

Outreach that follows Australian rules

Outreach is email, and the Spam Act 2003 applies to commercial electronic messages. The Act requires consent, which can be express or inferred in some cases, clear sender identification and a working way to unsubscribe. Messages to a journalist or webmaster about a link to a relevant page are usually individual, targeted and relevant to their work, and we keep them that way. We do not run mass blasts, and we remove anyone who asks to stop. If your business has a view on this, check with your lawyer.

We also respect the Australian Consumer Law. Claims in the content we promote must be accurate, and we do not make up awards, rankings or customer quotes. If an asset includes data, we cite the original source.

Our outreach template shows the shape of a good message: short, specific to the recipient, and clear about what is in it for their readers.

How a campaign runs

  1. ReviewWe look at your current links, competitors and the pages most worth supporting.
  2. AssetsWe choose or make a page that deserves links, such as a guide, calculator, data summary or local resource.
  3. ProspectsWe build a list of relevant Australian sites and note why each one fits.
  4. OutreachWe write personal messages, follow up once or twice, and answer replies.
  5. ReportYou receive each earned link with the URL, the linking page and its context.

We work remotely from India and outreach is timed for Australian business hours. A weekly check-in falls in the overlap, for example 10:00 in India is 14:30 or 15:30 in Sydney, depending on the season.

Timing, expectations and risk

Links take time. Replies arrive over days and weeks, a published link may need further time to be crawled, and a ranking effect, if any, can take months. See our note on how long backlinks take to get indexed. We do not promise a number of links in a month, since earned links depend on the asset, the sector and the recipients.

Seasonal hooks help in Australia. Content around EOFY, the start of the school year, bushfire and flood preparation, or the Boxing Day sales can give journalists a reason to respond, if it is useful and timely. We plan these months ahead.

What makes a page worth linking to

Outreach fails when the page has nothing to offer. Before contacting anyone, we ask whether a stranger would link to this page without being asked. For a plumbing firm, that might be a clear guide to hot water system rules in a state. For an accounting practice, it might be a plain explanation of EOFY steps for sole traders. For a retailer, it might be size or fit data that others can cite.

We prefer assets that stay useful for years and can be updated, because one good page can earn links long after outreach ends. Where you have real data, such as anonymised survey results, we help present it clearly and note its limits. We never publish invented statistics.

We also look at links you already have but are not using. Unlinked mentions, old partners, suppliers and event listings often lead to quick, honest wins, and they cost little to ask for. Reclaiming a lost link from a redesigned site is another low-effort fix.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour. The price depends on how competitive your sector is, how much content must be produced, and how many prospects we research each month. We quote a fixed monthly scope after a short call, within one working day. Read the link building cost guide for what drives the range.

Questions, answered

Do you promise a number of links?
No. We commit to the work done each month and report every link earned. Promises of fixed counts usually mean low-quality sources.
Will links from overseas sites help?
Some do, but for an Australian business, relevant Australian sites matter more. We aim for a mix that fits your audience.
Can you remove bad links?
We can review your profile and, if needed, prepare a disavow file. Google says most sites do not need one, so we only use it for clear problems.
Is this safe for our rankings?
We follow Google's published spam policies and avoid paid links. No method carries zero risk, but earned links with honest outreach are the safest route.
