In short

Liftup Technologies provides link building for UK websites, working remotely from India with an office in Coventry. We find relevant UK publications, directories, associations and partners, create pages and data worth citing, and run outreach that follows UK email rules. Every link is reported with its URL and date. We do not buy links from networks. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

What a good UK link looks like

A useful link comes from a real site, read by people in your market, that mentions you for a reason. For a UK business that usually means a regional newspaper, a trade body, a supplier or customer, a local charity partnership, a university department or an industry blog. A link from a random overseas site on an unrelated topic adds little and can create risk.

Google's spam policies treat paid links that pass ranking signals as a violation unless they are marked with rel sponsored or rel nofollow. We follow that rule. If a placement is paid, it is labelled as such, and we explain the trade-off to you before we agree it.

Outreach rules that apply in the UK

  • PECR rules on electronic marketing treat individuals and corporate subscribers differently. Emails to named people at limited companies are handled differently from those to sole traders and some partnerships. Your adviser should confirm the position for your outreach list.
  • UK GDPR applies to the contact data we collect. We record where each address came from, stop contacting people who object, and avoid buying lists.
  • Every outreach email names who we are, who we write for and how to opt out.
  • Editorial rules matter. UK advertising rules expect paid or incentivised content to be obviously identifiable, and the ASA and CMA both take a close interest. We never ask a site to hide a commercial relationship.
  • Reviews and testimonials we help earn must be genuine.

These points guide how we work. They are not legal advice, so ask your solicitor to check any outreach that targets individuals.

How a monthly link programme runs

  1. Backlink reviewWe look at your current links, your competitors' links and any risky ones, using exports from tools you already own or ours.
  2. Target listFifty to a hundred UK sites ranked by relevance, audience and realistic chance of a link.
  3. Asset planningWe pick what to offer: a data page, a guide, a tool, a quote from your team.
  4. Outreach and follow-upPersonal emails sent in UK working hours, with a limited number of follow-ups.
  5. ReportA monthly sheet with each live link, anchor, date and the page it points to.

Link results depend on the quality of what you offer, so we say early when your site lacks something worth linking to. Sometimes the first month goes on improving a key page, which links to will then point at.

Timing and time zones

UK editors read email in the morning and many publications publish seasonal pieces weeks ahead. We send outreach between 08:30 and 11:30 UK time, which is early afternoon in India, so replies land when our team is online. The UK is 5.5 hours behind India in winter and 4.5 in summer. For seasonal angles such as Black Friday, Christmas gift guides or Mothering Sunday, we start about eight to twelve weeks early.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and extra work is $30 an hour. Price moves with how competitive your sector is, how many links per month you want, how much content must be created and whether you want paid placements. Be wary of any offer that quotes a fixed price per link with no review of your site. Our link building cost guide explains typical ranges. For the wider plan see SEO for UK businesses.

Questions, answered

Do you buy links?
We do not use link networks. If a publisher charges for a placement, we label it properly and agree it with you first.
How many links will I get each month?
It depends on the plan, niche and assets. We set targets in the quote and report what was achieved, without promising a number we cannot control.
Are .co.uk links better than .com links?
Relevance and quality matter more than the extension. UK sites help show a UK audience, but a strong international source is still useful.
Is outreach to businesses allowed under PECR?
The rules differ for corporate and individual subscribers, and sole traders can count as individuals. Check your list with an adviser.
Can you remove bad links?
We can review them and prepare a disavow file where warranted. Google says most sites do not need one.
Who owns the content we create?
You do, including data pages and guest articles, unless a publisher's terms say otherwise.
