In short

Liftup Technologies provides social media marketing for businesses targeting Germany, working remotely from India. The work covers platform selection, a German content calendar, post and short video production briefs, paid campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok, influencer labeling rules, community replies in German by a native speaker, and reporting. You get a fixed quote within one working day of a short call.

Choosing platforms for a German audience

Platform use in Germany depends heavily on the audience. B2B buyers, recruiters and professional services lean on LinkedIn and XING. Consumer brands reach younger shoppers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and broader household audiences on Facebook and Pinterest. Choosing two platforms and doing them well beats posting everywhere. We look at where your buyers already spend time, which channels your competitors use and how much content you can produce each week.

Mittelstand buyers and decision makersLinkedIn, XINGCase-style posts with permission, technical explanations, hiring news
Software and IT firmsLinkedIn, YouTubeProduct demos, tutorials, event talks

German content that does not read as translated

German audiences notice stiff or machine-translated copy quickly. The first decision is Sie or du: B2B and established brands generally use Sie, while youth and lifestyle brands often use du, and the choice must be consistent across posts, ads and replies. Humor, idioms and emojis differ from English-speaking markets, and claims should be plain and checkable. A native German editor reviews every post, and we do not publish unreviewed copy. Our role is the plan, briefs, designs, scheduling and reporting around that editor.

Dates, prices and units follow German conventions: 03.11.2026, 1.250,50 € and metric units. Holidays differ by state, so a campaign timed for Fronleichnam or Allerheiligen reaches only some regions. We use a calendar that marks regional holidays and school breaks.

Landing pages for campaigns need the same care as the posts. Visitors from social platforms arrive on phones, so the page should load quickly, show the offer in German immediately and link to the Impressum and privacy notice. Our GDPR website checklist covers what to test, and the SEO cost guide shows how content work is priced.

Rules that shape social posts and ads

Business profiles are treated like other online services and generally need an Impressum, so each profile should link to your full legal notice. For ads, the Housing-style special categories do not apply to most products, but Meta and LinkedIn have their own policies on sensitive categories, and the targeting options differ by industry.

Influencer and creator content must be marked clearly when there is payment or another benefit. In Germany the labels Werbung or Anzeige are common, placed where viewers see them immediately and not hidden among hashtags. Authorities and courts have taken unclear marking seriously, and responsibility sits with both the brand and the creator. Contracts with creators should say who approves content and who handles labeling. Your lawyer should confirm the wording for your case.

Pixels and conversion APIs need consent for visitors on your website. We check the banner setup, set up consent-aware events and compare platform results with your own order or enquiry data, because platform numbers will under-count.

Paid social

  • Meta ads for consumer shops and local services, with creative tests and lead forms that link to the privacy notice.
  • LinkedIn campaigns for B2B, targeted by job function, industry and company size, usually at a higher cost per click.
  • TikTok for brands with video capacity and younger audiences.
  • Retargeting limited to visitors who consented to tracking.

Budgets, bids and creative rotation are agreed before launch. We report cost per qualified lead or sale from your own data instead of platform reach, and we pause what does not work after a fair test.

Creative testing follows a simple rhythm: a few distinct ideas, each in two or three versions, run long enough to compare fairly. We keep a record of what was tested and what was learned, so the next round starts from evidence.

Production and rhythm

  1. Audit and planReview existing profiles, competitors and audience, then agree two platforms and a monthly goal.
  2. Brief and designWe create post designs, short-video scripts and captions in draft.
  3. German reviewA native editor, yours or one we find with you, approves each batch.
  4. Publish and respondScheduled posts, and replies during German business hours with agreed escalation rules.
  5. ReportMonthly notes on reach, clicks, leads and learning.

India is 4.5 hours ahead of Germany in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer, so a morning check-in is in our afternoon. Projects start at $1,500 and the rate is $30 an hour; number of platforms, video volume and ad budget management move the quote. Links to your site help social and search work together, so see our Germany SEO overview and the social media marketing service page.

Questions, answered

Do we need a German-speaking community manager?
Replies to German customers should be in German and checked by a native speaker. We can set rules so routine questions get approved answers and special cases go to you.
Which platform should a small B2B firm start with?
LinkedIn is the usual start, with XING as a second option for certain sectors and recruiting.
Can you run influencer campaigns?
We can plan and brief them. Creators are selected with you, contracts are checked by your lawyer, and sponsored posts are labeled clearly.
Do ads need consent?
Showing ads does not need website consent, but tracking visitors with pixels does. We set up conversion tracking so it respects the banner choice.
Do you buy followers or engagement?
No. Bought followers distort results and break platform rules.
