When WordPress is the right choice for a US business

WordPress suits businesses that publish often, need several editors with different permissions, or want to own their hosting and data. It is also common among US law firms, clinics, contractors and publishers, which means plugins and developers for those niches are easy to find. It is not always the best fit, so we say so when another tool is lighter.

Hosting and speed for American visitors

Google's crawler fetches most pages from the US, and your visitors are often within a few states of your server. We pick a hosting plan with a US data center near your audience, add page caching and a CDN, and test on a mid-range phone over a throttled connection. Core Web Vitals, including interaction responsiveness, are measured before and after, and the Core Web Vitals checklist shows the items.

Many sites are slow because of the plugin list, not the host. We remove what is not needed, replace page-builder bloat where it matters, and write small bits of custom code for narrow jobs instead of adding another heavy plugin.

Security and updates

Most WordPress break-ins come through outdated plugins and weak admin accounts. Our standard hardening covers staged updates, two-factor login for admins, limited login attempts, off-site backups with a tested restore, file-change monitoring and removal of unused plugins and themes. For a business with a US payment form or a customer login, a hacked site can also become a reporting question. Every state has some breach notification law, so keeping the site patched protects the customer data you would otherwise have to disclose.

US requirements built into a WordPress site

• Accessibility. We build and test to WCAG 2.2 AA. Page builders and plugins often produce poor heading order, missing labels and unreachable menus, so we check them with a keyboard and screen reader. We do not use overlay widgets as a substitute for fixing the page.
• Privacy. We install a consent tool where your counsel asks for one, check that California's Global Privacy Control signal turns off marketing tags if you are in scope, and add the privacy policy and the notice at the point of collection.
• WooCommerce tax and payments. We configure US tax rates and tax classes, connect Stripe or PayPal with Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported, and confirm the shipping zones. You and your accountant decide where you must register to collect sales tax.
• Forms and email. Contact forms are protected against spam, send through authenticated email so messages reach the inbox, and include an unsubscribe on any marketing list, as CAN-SPAM requires.

Working rhythm and price

We agree on a staging site first, so nothing is edited on your live site until you have approved it. Review calls are scheduled in your morning: 9:00 a.m. Central is 20:30 in India in winter, 19:30 in summer. Fixes you ask for at the end of your day are usually in staging by the next morning.

Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. Custom theme work, number of templates, WooCommerce scope, data migration from an old site and integrations with a CRM move the price. After a short call you receive a fixed quote within one working day. Ongoing care, such as updates and backups, can be quoted as a separate monthly item; our website maintenance service covers it.
