In short

Liftup Technologies provides technical SEO for Irish websites, working remotely from India. We crawl the site, review Search Console, fix indexing, canonicals, redirects, structured data and Core Web Vitals, and check .ie, en-IE and Northern Ireland setup. Findings come as a ranked list with tickets your developer can use. You get a fixed quote after a short call.

What a technical review covers

We start with data you already have: Search Console coverage, crawl stats and a full crawl of the live site. Then we group issues by effect on traffic, not by how many warnings a tool prints.

AreaWhat we testTypical Irish-site finding
Crawling and indexingrobots.txt, XML sitemap, noindex tags, crawl budgetOld staging URLs or filter pages still indexed
DuplicatesCanonicals, parameters, www and https versions.ie and .com both live, or trailing-slash duplicates
Internationalhreflang, language and currency per sectionen-GB pages served to Irish visitors, or missing x-default
SpeedCore Web Vitals on real mobile dataLarge hero images and third-party scripts loading before consent
Structured dataOrganization, LocalBusiness, Product, FAQMissing Eircode, county or opening hours in markup
Security and accessHTTPS, mixed content, bot blockingA firewall that blocks Googlebot or AI crawlers by mistake

Our technical SEO checklist shows the full list, and the Core Web Vitals check is a quick first test.

Order matters. We fix anything that blocks crawling or indexing first, then duplicates and redirects, then speed and structured data. Cosmetic warnings such as a missing alt attribute on a decorative image wait until the end. This keeps the work tied to results you can measure in Search Console rather than a long list of small items.

Cookie banners and what Google sees

Irish sites must ask for consent before non-essential cookies under the ePrivacy Regulations 2011, and the Data Protection Commission has said that simply scrolling or browsing on is not valid consent. Banners are a technical SEO matter in two ways.

  • Layout shift: a banner that pushes content down hurts Core Web Vitals. We make it an overlay with reserved space.
  • Blocked content: if a script wall hides text until consent, Google may not see it. Text should load for everyone, and only trackers wait.
  • Measurement: declined visitors vanish from analytics, so traffic looks lower after a banner goes live. Search Console is unaffected, and we read both.
  • Google's consent mode settings, which affect ads measurement for visitors in the European Economic Area.

A tag audit finds what fires before consent. We test in a clean browser profile and record the result.

Test banner changes on a staging copy first. A new consent tool can accidentally stop analytics, delay the largest image on the page or block a form script, and these faults are easy to miss until traffic data goes quiet.

Domains, hreflang and the border

The .ie domain requires a connection to Ireland, and the registry lists the rules at weare.ie. A site on .ie is clearly Irish to Google, while a .com needs signals such as hreflang en-IE, euro prices and an Irish address. Redirect rules between .ie, .com and any .co.uk domain need careful testing, because wrong chains lose traffic.

If you serve Northern Ireland, treat it as a sterling market. Use en-GB for that section and keep currency, delivery and legal text separate. Do not redirect visitors by IP address, because crawlers from the US will see only one version. Use a visible country selector instead. The hreflang generator writes the tags, and international SEO explains testing.

For stores and local firms, we also check that the Eircode, county and phone format in structured data match the visible page and your Google Business Profile. Mismatches confuse both search engines and customers.

How fixes reach production

We give your developer or agency clear tickets: the URL pattern, the expected result, how to test it and the Search Console report that should improve. If you have no developer, we can implement on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Next.js. After each batch of fixes we recrawl and check Search Console over the following weeks.

India is 5.5 hours ahead of Ireland in winter and 4.5 hours in summer. Findings are delivered in writing, and a walkthrough call is held in your morning. Release windows are agreed with your team, usually outside peak sale periods.

Monitoring continues after the fixes. We set alerts for sudden drops in indexed pages, new 404 errors and failed sitemap fetches, so a bad release is caught in days rather than months.

Price

Projects start at $1,500, with extra hours at $30. A review of a small site and a ranked fix list sits near the start. Large catalogues, JavaScript rendering problems and multi-market setups cost more. Quotes are fixed and in US dollars. For the audit-only route see the SEO audit cost guide and our technical SEO service.

Questions, answered

Will fixing technical SEO make me rank higher?
It removes barriers. Pages that were blocked, duplicated or slow can then compete properly. Rankings still depend on content, links and competition.
Do I need developer access?
For findings, no. For fixes, we need either your developer to apply them or access to your CMS and hosting so that we can.
How do you check Core Web Vitals?
With field data from Chrome where available, and lab tests on a mid-range phone profile. We prefer real-user data when the site has enough traffic.
Can you migrate our site without losing traffic?
Yes. We prepare redirect maps, test staging, and monitor Search Console after launch. See our website migration checklist.
How often should a technical review be repeated?
Once a year for a stable site, and after any redesign, platform change or large content addition. Busy online shops benefit from a lighter quarterly check.
