In short

Liftup Technologies develops custom web applications for Singapore businesses, working remotely from India with calls booked in Singapore working hours. We build portals, dashboards, booking and internal tools on Next.js and React, with role-based access, audit trails and PDPA-aware data handling. You receive a fixed quote within one working day of a short call, and you own the code.

What Singapore companies ask us to build

The requests are practical. A logistics firm wants a tracking portal for customers. A training provider wants bookings, attendance and certificates in one system. A property business wants a dashboard that replaces five spreadsheets. A startup wants a first working version to show investors and early customers.

We scope in layers. The first layer is the smallest version that proves the idea and replaces the worst manual step. The second adds reports, extra roles and integrations once real users have tried it. Teams that skip this order often spend their budget on features nobody opens.

What these have in common is that off-the-shelf software almost fits, but the gap costs staff hours each week. A custom web app closes that gap. Where an existing product already does the job, we will tell you, because paying for a build you do not need helps nobody.

How we build

Our default stack is Next.js and React on the front end, with a Node.js or serverless API and a managed relational database. We choose it for speed of delivery and a large pool of developers, so you are never locked to us. For apps that need a phone-first experience, we pair it with a mobile app. See mobile app development in Singapore.

  • Discovery workshop and a written scope, with the first release cut down to what matters.
  • Clickable design before code, so users can react early.
  • Weekly working builds on a staging site.
  • Automated tests on the parts that handle money, access and personal data.
  • Deployment on hosting you own, in a region you choose, with backups and monitoring.

Security and the PDPA

The PDPA requires organizations to make reasonable security arrangements for personal data and, in defined cases, to notify the PDPC and affected people of a breach. For a web app that translates into concrete design choices.

  • Role-based access, so staff see only what they need.
  • Strong password rules and optional two-step login.
  • Encrypted connections and encrypted storage of sensitive fields.
  • An audit log of who viewed or changed personal records.
  • A retention rule, so data is deleted when no longer needed.
  • A named Data Protection Officer contact in the app.
  • No collection of NRIC numbers unless a law requires it.

Because our team works from India, we agree access handling and any data transfer terms with you before we touch production data. In many cases we work only with test data.

These are design notes, not legal advice. Check obligations for your sector with your lawyer.

Payments and integrations

Web apps in Singapore frequently take payments and exchange data with accounting, courier, CRM and messaging tools. Stripe supports PayNow and card payments for eligible accounts, and its documentation is listed in the sources. Whether a method is available to you depends on your account and the provider. We build the integration, test it against sandbox accounts, and add reconciliation so finance staff can match payments to orders.

Working across the time zones

Singapore is 2.5 hours ahead of India, and our team works on an Indian schedule that overlaps most of your afternoon. We hold the weekly demo then and agree priorities for the following week. Between calls, questions are answered in writing by one lead. If you want a full product build rather than an internal tool, see SaaS development.

Hosting, ownership and what happens after launch

We deploy to a hosting account in your name, usually on a major cloud provider or a platform such as Vercel, in a region you choose. Environments are split into development, staging and production, so tests never touch live data. Backups run on a schedule and we test a restore before launch, not after the first incident.

After launch, apps need small, steady changes: a new report, a changed approval rule, a library update. We offer support at the same hourly rate, or hand over to your own developers with documentation and a recorded walkthrough of the code. The architecture uses common tools so another team can take over without a rewrite.

We also set up monitoring and alerts for errors and slow responses, with a plain-language runbook that lists who to call and what to check. For regulated or high-volume systems we recommend an independent security test before go-live, and we help you brief the testers.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour. Number of user roles, integrations, reporting depth and testing requirements move the price. A narrow first release costs far less than a full platform. See the web app cost guide and our web app development service page.

Questions, answered

Do I own the code?
Yes. The repository, hosting and database accounts are created in your name, and we hand over documentation at the end.
Can the app use Singpass login?
For eligible organizations Singpass integration may be possible, but it needs an application and approval. We plan time for that if you need it.
Where is the data hosted?
We choose the region with you. Many Singapore businesses prefer a Singapore or nearby region, and the main cloud providers offer them.
How long does a web app take?
A focused first release often takes one to three months. The fixed quote includes a schedule based on the scope.
Can you improve an app another team built?
Yes. We start with a code and security review, then propose fixes or a rebuild.
