In short

Liftup Technologies develops WordPress and WooCommerce sites for Singapore businesses, working remotely from India with calls booked in Singapore working hours. The work covers custom themes, plugin configuration, WooCommerce with SGD pricing and GST, speed and security hardening, and PDPA-aware forms. You receive a fixed quote within one working day of a short call and own the site.

When WordPress is the right choice

WordPress suits Singapore businesses that publish a lot, have several editors, or need features that a closed site builder charges extra for: membership areas, directories, multilingual content, custom booking, event listings. It is also the base for WooCommerce, which suits stores that want full control of data and hosting.

It is not always the best fit. A small catalog may run faster on Shopify, and a design-led brochure site can suit Webflow. Our comparisons of Webflow and WordPress and Shopify and WooCommerce set out the choices, and we will say so on the call if another platform fits you better.

What we deliver

  • A custom theme built for your design, not a heavy multipurpose template.
  • Page builder or block editor layouts that your staff can edit safely.
  • Plugins chosen sparingly, because each one adds risk and weight.
  • WooCommerce set-up: SGD currency, GST-inclusive pricing, shipping zones, order emails and payment gateways.
  • Multilingual set-up for English with Chinese or Malay where needed.
  • Migration from another platform, with redirects.
  • Security hardening, backups and update routine.

Security and upkeep

The PDPA expects organizations to protect personal data with reasonable security arrangements, and a WordPress site holds form entries, customer accounts and sometimes order history. The usual causes of compromise are outdated plugins, weak admin passwords and abandoned add-ons. We keep the plugin list short, enable two-step login for admins, set up off-site backups and agree an update routine. See the WordPress security checklist for what we check.

Speed also affects how Google and visitors see the site. Many WordPress sites are slow because of oversized images, many plugins and cheap hosting. We use a lightweight theme, lazy loading, caching and a content delivery network where it helps, then test the main templates against Core Web Vitals before launch.

If a data breach does happen, the PDPA has notification duties in defined cases, so it helps to know who will decide and act. We write a one-page response note for your team as part of handover.

How we work from India

Singapore is 2.5 hours ahead of India. We meet in your afternoon, build on a staging site you can open from day one, and give a short demo each week. One lead keeps the project moving and answers your questions. At launch we move the site to your hosting account, and the admin logins, hosting and domain stay in your name.

Content, SEO and editing workflow

A WordPress site lives or dies by how easily your team can publish. We set up page templates and reusable blocks for the content types you use most, such as service pages, articles, team profiles and case pages, with fields for the details that must always appear. Editors cannot break the layout by accident, and new pages come out consistent.

The same build prepares the technical SEO basics: clean URLs, titles and descriptions, XML sitemaps, schema for the business and articles, and redirects from old URLs. If your site is large, we plan the structure before any pages are moved, since a bad migration can lose years of rankings. Our website migration checklist lists the steps.

For Singapore audiences we also check that the local details are right: the address and phone number appear in text, opening hours are in schema, and a Google Business Profile points to the correct page. These small items help local search more than most visitors would guess.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500 and our rate is $30 an hour. Custom design, number of templates, WooCommerce features, languages and migration move the price. Hosting, premium plugin licenses and domain fees are paid to those providers. The WordPress website cost guide lists typical drivers.

Questions, answered

Should I choose WordPress or Shopify for a Singapore store?
Shopify is quicker to launch and easier to run for most stores. WooCommerce suits teams that want custom behavior or hosting control. We recommend after a short call.
Can you take over a site built by someone else?
Yes. We audit it first for security, speed and plugin health, then fix or rebuild as the findings suggest.
Will my team be able to edit the site?
Yes. We build editable blocks and train your staff, and leave a short written guide.
Do you host the site?
We can advise and set up hosting in your name. We do not tie you to our own hosting.
Can you add Chinese language pages?
Yes, with a multilingual set-up and hreflang tags. A native reader should review the translated text.
