In short

Liftup Technologies builds AI agents for Polish companies, working remotely from India with calls booked in Warsaw hours. An agent plans steps, uses tools such as your CRM, email or database, and completes a defined task. We limit permissions, require approval for risky actions, log every step, and design around RODO. A short call leads to a fixed quote within one working day.

What an agent does that a chatbot does not

A chatbot answers questions. An agent acts. Given a goal such as 'qualify this lead' or 'prepare the monthly report', it decides which steps to take, calls tools, checks results and stops when the job is done or when it needs a person. That power is useful and also risky, so the design matters more than the model. The difference is explained in our AI agent vs chatbot comparison.

Good first agents are narrow: sorting incoming enquiries, preparing quote drafts from a price list, reconciling orders against stock, summarizing support tickets for a manager. Narrow agents are easier to test and cheaper to run.

Before building, we ask three questions. What is the cost of a wrong action? Who reviews the output? What would make you switch the agent off? If those answers are unclear, the task is not ready for an agent yet, and a simpler workflow or a draft-only assistant is a better start. This keeps early projects small, measurable and easy to defend to management, auditors and customers.

Permission levels we use

LevelWhat the agent may doExample
Read onlyLook up information and suggestFind the order status and draft a reply for staff
DraftPrepare an item that a person must approveWrite a quote in the system as a draft
Act with approvalPerform an action after a person confirmsSend an email or update a record after one click
Act within limitsPerform low-risk actions alone, inside strict rulesTag tickets, book a meeting in free slots

Most projects start at read only or draft level. You raise the level only after the logs show the agent behaving well. Payments, deletions and contract changes stay behind human approval. Our AI agent security checklist lists the controls we apply.

RODO and automated decisions

RODO, the Polish name for GDPR, applies when an agent handles personal data, and UODO supervises it. Article 22 limits decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on a person, such as refusing a credit application or rejecting a job candidate. For such cases the safe design keeps a human making the decision, with the agent only preparing information. Review your use case with your data protection officer or lawyer.

  • Data minimization: the agent receives only the fields it needs for the task.
  • Provider terms: we check the data processing terms of the model provider and avoid sending data you do not want to share.
  • Retention: logs and conversation history have a set retention period.
  • Deletion: when a person asks to have data erased, the agent's stored memory and logs can be searched and cleaned.
  • Disclosure: when an agent talks to customers, it says it is an AI.

The EU AI Act is being phased in, with transparency duties for some AI systems. Timing of specific obligations changes as the rules apply, so we confirm the current position with you at the start of each project.

How we build and test

  1. Pick one jobA task with clear inputs, outputs and a person who owns the result.
  2. Map tools and dataWhich systems the agent may read and which it may change.
  3. Build with guardrailsPermission levels, approval steps, rate limits and spending caps.
  4. Test on real casesA set of 50 to 100 past examples with known correct outcomes, scored before launch.
  5. Pilot with logsA small group uses it while we review every run.
  6. Expand carefullyRaise permissions or add tasks only when the numbers support it.

We use current large language models through their APIs, with frameworks such as the AI SDK where they fit. For ready-made workflows without a full agent, see AI automation for Poland and AI chatbot development.

Costs are tracked per run. Agents can loop or call tools more often than expected, so we set limits on steps, tokens and spend, and send an alert when a run goes over. After launch we review a sample of runs each week, note failures, and update prompts, tools or rules. An agent is a system you maintain, not a one-off delivery.

Polish language and local fit

Modern models handle Polish well, but we still test on your real documents, product names and abbreviations. Polish inflection can trip up search and matching, so we use retrieval methods that handle word forms. Dates, amounts and the NIP format are validated by code, not left to the model. Polish software houses also build AI solutions; compare their scope, data handling and ongoing costs with ours.

Time zone and price

Warsaw is 4.5 hours behind Pune in winter and 3.5 hours behind in summer. Reviews are held in Warsaw mornings. Projects start at $1,500, and the rate is $30 an hour. Model usage fees are paid to the provider, and we estimate them in the quote. See the AI agent cost guide and the AI agent development service.

Questions, answered

Can an agent send emails by itself?
It can, but we usually start with drafts or one-click approval. Autonomous sending is added only for low-risk, well-tested cases.
Will my data be used to train the model?
That depends on the provider and plan. We check their data terms and choose settings that match your policy.
What if the agent makes a mistake?
Every step is logged, high-risk actions need approval, and we can roll back changes where the system allows it.
Does it work in Polish?
Yes, and we test it on your own documents and terms before launch.
How do I know it is worth it?
We agree a measurable target at the start, such as hours saved or response time, and report against it.
