In short
Liftup Technologies provides AI search optimization for Austrian businesses, working remotely from India. The work covers entity clarity, answer-ready pages, structured data, crawler access, consistent profiles and monitoring of brand mentions in AI tools. We do not promise citations, and we report what we observe. A fixed quote follows a short call.
What changes when people ask AI instead of searching
More Austrians now put questions to Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Copilot before they open a website. The answer often names two or three businesses, and the user may never see a list of links. For a local or specialist firm, the question is simple: does the answer mention us, and is it correct?
The rules are not fully known and they change. What we do know is that these tools lean on pages that state facts clearly, on consistent information across sources, and on sites that crawlers are allowed to read. Our guide to SEO for AI search and the comparison of SEO and GEO explain the overlap.
What we work on
| Area | What we do | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Entity clarity | One clear description of who you are, what you do, where and for whom | Models need a stable picture of your business |
| Answer pages | Short direct answers to the questions buyers ask, followed by detail | Passages are easier to quote |
| Structured data | Organization, Service, Product, FAQ and breadcrumb markup that matches the page | Gives machines the facts in a standard form |
| Crawler access | robots.txt rules for search and AI crawlers, and an optional llms.txt | You decide what may be read and used |
| Consistent profiles | Same name, address and description on directories, Google Business Profile and social | Reduces conflicting facts |
| Third-party mentions | Listings, trade media and partner pages | Independent sources carry weight |
Our AEO checklist and GEO checklist list the checks in full.
A page that wins a citation usually has a direct answer in its first lines, a clear heading that matches the question, and a source or fact that can be checked. Marketing phrases and vague claims are rarely quoted. For each priority question, we write a short answer block of two or three sentences, then support it with detail, a table or an example.
- Product and service pages state price ranges, scope and who the service is for.
- Staff and author pages show real names and roles, so the people behind the content can be identified.
- Reviews and references come from real customers and are shown only where they are true.
- Old pages with outdated facts are updated or removed, because conflicting data confuses answer engines.
German-language and Austrian specifics
AI tools answer in the language of the question. A buyer who asks in German should find German pages that state facts in plain sentences. Where Austrian wording differs, such as Jänner or the names of local authorities, using the local term helps match the question. Place names, regions and the Austrian legal forms (GmbH, e.U., OG) should be written the same way everywhere.
If you also serve Germany or Switzerland, make that explicit on a page, so the answer does not assume you operate only in one country. A visible Impressum and company details support trust and give models a clear source for facts about you.

Get my fixed quoteCrawlers, permission and privacy
You choose which AI crawlers may read your site. Blocking all of them can remove you from answers, while allowing all of them may not suit every publisher. We list the main crawlers, explain what each is used for and set rules that fit your policy. Rules in robots.txt are a request that major crawlers follow, not a lock, so private material should never be on public pages.
GDPR still applies to your own use of AI tools, for example when staff paste customer data into a chatbot. The Datenschutzbehörde is the Austrian authority. A short internal AI use policy helps, and we have a template you can adapt with your lawyer.
Measuring something that is hard to measure
No tool gives a complete view of AI citations. We use a repeatable set of 30 to 50 questions that your customers might ask, run them in several tools each month, record whether you are named and whether the facts are right, and track trends. Referral traffic from AI tools appears in analytics, though consent rules hide part of it. The AI visibility checker is a free way to start.
We do not promise citations or rankings in any AI tool. We report what we see and what we changed.
Reports list each question, each tool, whether you were named, which source was cited and whether the facts were right. Over a few months this shows whether the changes move the result, even if single answers vary from day to day. We also point out cases where a competitor or a directory is cited instead of you, because those show the next page or listing to improve.
How we work and cost
We work from Pune with no Austrian office. A 10:00 call in Vienna is 13:30 or 14:30 for us. The first month covers a baseline, fixes to entity and crawler setup, and the first batch of answer pages. Projects start at $1,500 and extra work is $30 an hour. See the AI search optimization service page, and for sales cycles, our B2B SEO in Austria page.
