Ecommerce SEO for the USA
Ecommerce SEO for US online stores
US shoppers compare your store with Amazon, Walmart and a dozen brands in the same session. We fix the category pages, product data and review markup that decide whether Google shows you in that comparison.

In short
Liftup Technologies provides ecommerce SEO for US online stores, working remotely from India with an office in New York. The work covers category and product page structure, product schema, Merchant Center data, internal search and the Black Friday calendar, within FTC review rules. Progress is reported from your own Search Console. You receive a fixed quote after a short call.
Where US stores win against marketplaces
In the US, marketplaces rank for many product searches, so a small store rarely wins by copying a manufacturer description. The openings are narrower: category pages with real buying guidance, long-tail product combinations the marketplaces handle poorly, and brand and comparison searches where you own the facts.
| Page type | Typical US search intent | What we work on |
|---|---|---|
| Category page | Shoppers browsing a product type, often with a use case | A short intro, filters that do not create endless URLs, and a buying guide section under the products |
| Product page | Someone who has chosen a model or a brand | Unique copy, size and fit data, shipping and return details, review markup |
| Collection by use case | Searches such as gifts for a specific person or room | Curated pages with a clear reason to exist, linked from the menu and from guides |
| Comparison or guide | Research before buying | Honest comparisons that link to products and carry an author and a date |
| Brand page | Branded and 'near me' queries | Clear store policies, contact details and an About page that names real people |
We start with Search Console to see which of these page types already earn impressions, then decide where new pages are worth the work. Our ecommerce SEO service page lists the full scope.
Product data that Google can trust
A US shopper often meets your product first in a Google Shopping result or a free product listing, not on your site. That makes the product data as important as the page. Merchant Center needs accurate price, availability, shipping and return information, and it checks them against what your page shows.
- Price on the page must match the feed and the schema. US prices are normally shown before sales tax, with tax added at checkout, so say so in the shipping information instead of changing the displayed price.
- Shipping and return policies belong in structured data as well as on a policy page. Free-shipping thresholds change often, so we tie them to one setting instead of editing many pages.
- Review markup is allowed only for reviews that real customers wrote about that product. Markup on reviews of the store as a whole, or on copied manufacturer ratings, risks losing rich results.
- Variants need clean canonical URLs so that color and size options do not compete with each other.
Bing has a larger share of US search than in most countries, and Microsoft Merchant Center can take the same feed. We submit the sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools and enable IndexNow, so product and price changes reach Bing within hours.
Planning around Black Friday and Cyber Monday
The US retail year bends around the weeks after Thanksgiving. In 2026 Thanksgiving falls on 26 November, Black Friday on 27 November and Cyber Monday on 30 November. A store that publishes its sale page on the Wednesday before has already lost the search traffic from earlier research.
| When | Task | Why |
|---|---|---|
| September to early October | Refresh gift guides and category copy, fix crawl problems | Google needs time to recrawl and reassess pages |
| Late October | Publish the permanent sale URL, such as /black-friday/, with an email sign-up | The same URL collects links and history every year |
| Early November | Freeze theme and template changes; test checkout and site speed | A broken page on a sale day is expensive and hard to fix at pace |
| Sale days | Watch Search Console, stock and feed errors daily | Price mismatches suspend product listings |
| December | Shipping deadline pages and gift-card pages | Late buyers search for what will arrive in time |

Get my fixed quoteRules that affect an American store's pages
The FTC has a rule against fake and purchased reviews, and its endorsement guidance says paid or free-product relationships must be disclosed. In practice that means no review gating, no hiding negative reviews that you could display, and a clear label where a creator received the item for free. Claims such as 'Made in USA' have their own FTC standard, so check them with your lawyer before they go into titles or schema.
State privacy laws such as California's CCPA and CPRA touch the tags that power search and ads on a store. Accessibility matters too, since ADA complaints often target online stores. Alt text, headings and link names serve search and WCAG 2.2 AA together, so one cleanup covers both. These are prompts for your lawyer, not legal advice.
Working across US zones, and the price
A weekly call at 9:00 a.m. Eastern is 19:30 in India in winter and 18:30 in summer, so US stores get an overlap in their morning. Pacific-time stores meet us at 8:00 a.m., which is 21:30 in India in winter. Changes are made while you sleep and ready for review at the start of your day.
Projects start at $1,500, and our rate is $30 an hour. The fixed quote depends on catalog size, platform and how much content is needed. See the ecommerce SEO cost guide for what drives it, and the US SEO pillar for the broader picture.
