In short

Liftup Technologies designs websites for Swiss businesses, working remotely from India. We plan the language structure first, then design the pages, build them on Webflow, WordPress or Next.js, and hand over a site you own. Layouts allow for longer German and French text, Swiss formats and a complete company footer. A short call leads to a fixed quote within one working day.

What a Swiss audience notices

Swiss buyers compare you with careful, well-presented competitors, often in more than one language. They notice small things: a price without the currency, a phone number in the wrong format, a French page with German buttons. Design in this market is about precision more than decoration.

Our design work starts from the Swiss details, then moves to look and feel. The aim is a site that looks calm and credible, answers the buyer's first questions on the first screen and makes contact easy.

Designing for three languages

German words are long and French text often runs longer than English, so buttons, menus and cards need room. We design with real copy in the longest language, not placeholder text. If the design survives German and French, it survives English.

Design decisionWhy it matters in SwitzerlandWhat we do
Language switcherVisitors in Zurich may prefer French or EnglishVisible in the header, remembers the choice, never auto-redirects by location alone
Text lengthGerman compounds and French phrases break narrow layoutsFlexible grids, tested with the longest translation
FormatsSwiss amounts look like CHF 1'250.00, postcodes have four digitsFormats set per language in forms and templates
ToneFormal address (Sie, vous, Lei) is the safe default for businessMicrocopy written in the formal register unless you choose otherwise
SpellingSwiss German writes ss, never ßCopy checked for Swiss spelling before build

Search engines need the structure to match. See international SEO and our hreflang generator for the tags that connect your language versions.

Legal and trust elements to design in

These are design requirements, not afterthoughts. We ask your lawyer to confirm exact wording.

  • A footer with legal name, address, contact details and your UID number. Online shops should make clear who operates them.
  • A privacy notice that matches the revised Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023, and lists forms, analytics and chat tools. The regulator is the FDPIC.
  • A cookie notice that explains the tools in use and lets visitors refuse them. If you target EU visitors too, the GDPR can apply.
  • Terms of business, called AGB in German, in each language you serve.
  • Accessible contrast, focus states and form labels, built to WCAG 2.2 AA.

How the project runs

We work remotely. Switzerland is 3.5 to 4.5 hours behind India, so a 10:00 call in Zurich falls at 13:30 or 14:30 in India. Weekly demo links go to one named contact on your side.

  1. Brief and sitemapPages, languages, goals and the content you already have. Our website brief template speeds this up.
  2. Design in the browserKey templates are shown as working pages so you judge real behavior on a real phone.
  3. Build and content loadPages built on the agreed platform, with your copy loaded in each language.
  4. Launch and handoverRedirects, tracking, legal pages and a recorded walk-through. Accounts are in your name.

Scope by budget

The table shows how typical budgets map to scope at our $30 hourly rate. It is an illustration. The fixed quote follows a short call.

BudgetApprox. hoursWhat it usually covers
$1,500About 50A focused site of around five pages in one language, a contact form, basic SEO setup
$3,000About 100Ten or more pages, two languages, a blog or news section, custom design components
$6,000About 200Three languages, a larger page set, integrations such as booking or CRM, detailed legal setup
Above thatQuotedCustom features, many templates or complex content migration

Copywriting, photography and licensed fonts are separate unless included in the quote. If you have a logo and brand guide, we follow them. If not, we can propose a simple visual system.

Pricing

Projects start at $1,500, and the hourly rate is $30. At that rate, a 100-hour project comes to $3,000, though we quote a fixed price after a short call. Each added language, a custom component or an integration adds time. The website cost guide shows the main drivers. For stores, see Shopify development; for an existing site, see website redesign. Our wider website design service page lists deliverables.

Questions, answered

Which platform do you design on?
Webflow, WordPress, Shopify or Next.js, depending on who will edit the site and how many languages it needs. We explain the trade-offs in the quote.
Can you design the site in all Swiss languages?
We design and build for German, French and Italian. Copy comes from you or your translator, and a native reviewer for each language is a good idea.
Do you need to meet us in Zurich or Geneva?
No. Everything happens over video calls booked in your working hours, and files are shared in a project folder you own.
How long does a design project take?
A small company site often takes a few weeks, and a multilingual site takes longer. Your quote includes a dated plan.
Will the site be accessible?
We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and test keyboard use, contrast and form labels before launch.
